Scotty McCreery

Spencer, Iowa – “American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery with special guests Craig Campbell and Spencer-native Casey Muessigmann presented by CD 107.7 FM will be a night of country music to remember at the Clay County Fair Grandstand Stage on Saturday, September 14.
“It is a privilege to have three up-and-coming stars of country music on our Grandstand stage on one night,” said CCF Manager Jeremy Parsons.  “What a way to end the eighth day of the Clay County Fair!”
Country music superstar Scotty McCreery has had a blindingly rapid rise to stardom since “American Idol.” The Garner, North Carolina, native quickly emerged as one of country music’s most successful new artists after his first album topped the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country charts, earning him a spot in the Guinness World Records Book for being the youngest male in history to score a No.1 album on the all-genre chart with a debut release. His albumalso garnered the highest sales of any country solo album released in 2011 with the first two singles, “I Love You This Big” and “The Trouble With Girls,” reaching certified Gold status.

The hot streak continued as Scotty went on to win New Artist of the Year at both the 2011 American Country Awards and the 2012 ACM Awards. He also picked up the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year for “The Trouble With Girls” at the 2012 CMT Music Awards.  McCreery was ranked No. 1 on Billboard’s list of Top New Country Artists in 2011.

With a straight-forward, traditional country sound, Craig Campbell’s music describes the lives of real American people.  In 2011, Campbell wowed a sellout crowd of over 7,000 at the Clay County Fair when he opened for Alan Jackson.  Spencer native Casey Muessigmann shot to fame on NBC’s “The Voice” last season with his winning smile and classic country sound.  Muessigmann worked with country superstar Blake Shelton while on “The Voice.”

Former ‘American Idol’ Stars Battle for Top Spot on ToC Top 10 Video Countdown

Kellie Pickler‘s latest video sets a record with a 10th straight win, but a new challenger to her crown has emerged. Scotty McCreery made an impressive debut with the ‘See You Tonight’ video. Will his fans have what it takes to make the clip No. 1 next week?

Reality singing competition competitors hold the top five spots on the Taste of Country Top 10 Video Countdown. Tate Stevens‘ ‘Power of a Love Song’ finished fourth in last week’s voting, but his video has been removed from YouTube. That’s good news for Hunter Hayes, who slips back in with ‘I Want Crazy.’
A new video from the Eli Young Band also debuts this week. ‘Drunk Last Night’ comes as a number of other videos are set to expire in the next two weeks.

Fans can vote for up to 10 videos once every hour until the poll closes next Friday at 12PM ET. The weekly Top 10 will be revealed soon after the poll closes. Videos are retired after six months, or when fans lose interest or when an artist releases a new video for a current single.
