Scotty McCreery Impressing Country Music Fans Of All Ages

The 10th Season winner of American Idol, Scotty McCreery, is busy balancing college and building a career in Country Music.

Although McCreery has yet to break through on the mainstream Country Music charts with a Top 10 charting single, he’s off to a great start with a best selling debut album, a large following of American Idol fans, and a new single titled ‘See You Tonight.’

The ‘I Love You This Big’ singer recently made a stop in the Albany area, and even my Grandmother was impressed. Grandma’s review proves that McCreery appeals to all ages beyond his large and loyal following of teenage girls.

“Scotty is a fantastic singer and performer. He talks to the audience. He includes them all. He can imitate a wide variety of singers. He did a great job with Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, and Elvis songs. He also did one from Brad Paisley, who did a guest appearance by video. He put on a terrific show! I think if anyone gets the chance to see him in concert, they should go, they won’t be disappointed. Although he’s young, his show was as good as the singers that have been doing this for years.”
Have you seen a Scotty McCreery concert? Do you think his career will get bigger in Country Music?

March 23 was a big day for country music fans who arrived from all over the state for an appearance by American Idol winner Scotty McCreery. He included Katy, Texas in his 2013 Weekend Roadtrip Tour and played for throngs who enjoyed the food, rides, a variety of bands—and especially Scotty’s signature deep vocals.

We climbed aboard his tour bus and were greeted with his famous smile and iconic cross necklace. He was raised by parents who taught him to be polite, humble, and appreciative of the many blessings which have come his way since winning Season 10 finale of American Idol. He was just 16 at the audition and became the youngest male Idol winner (at 17) in the show’s history with a record-breaking 122 million fan votes. He joined fellow Idols and finalists including Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry and Adam Lambert in producing No. 1 hits.

As the youngest male artist to open at the top of the all-genre chart with a debut album  release, Clear as Day, he watched his hard work pay off in just 13 weeks as the album became certified platinum (over one million sold) in the U.S. “I Love You This Big” and “The Trouble with Girls”became gold singles. Christmas with Scotty McCreery, his 2012 holiday album, was also certified gold.
