Two explosions near the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon have the nation on edge Tuesday afternoon (April 15). Country stars like Lady Antebellum, Scotty McCreery, the Band Perry and Lee Brice took to Twitter to send prayers toward those involved. The first blast happened at about 3PM ET, with another occurring 10 seconds later.

Police said both explosions were bombs. A third explosion at the JFK library was not thought to be related. Both ABC and CBS news are reporting two people were killed — and dozens more injured. ABC reports that the first blast came from a running store and knocked the windows out of four nearby buildings. The injured are being treated at tents set up to attend to runners in need, or being taken to nearby hospitals.
The Associated Press has also confirmed that two additional explosive devices were found near the Boston Marathon and are being dismantled. We’ll update as more details from the horrific Boston Marathon explosion are confirmed.
