We arrived early 4:30 and the parking
lot guy said the line formed hours ago. it was raining so we went to a
bar to have a drink, this is when i first started to learn how popular
this guy is becoming. 2 gals in their 50s were so crazy for him, 3 young
girls walked in and they were just crazy and i mean crazy for him. We
then went to the venue and sat in the balcony and thank goodness because
the place was packed and the floor was crowded and loud.
The place was a
mix of all ages to my surprise but a lot of young girls. we sat next to
a 78 year old lady who wanted to scream and holler but she was sitting
next to my wife and I. The opener was good but when Scotty and his band
came on they were much much much better and oh my the screams and
hollering i love you Scotty.
I have not seen this since the Beatles and Elvis. it was a high energy show and his voice is so much better live
than on his cd. I looked around at the people during the concert and the
faces told the story. this kid captures the attention of the people,
they were smiling and were looking dead on at Scotty during the whole
show.
Now about character: he is humble, polite, dresses well, so
thoughtful of other people, clean cut and I could go on and on. most
singers do not have this quality and most of us people put up with their
bad habits that they think is cute.
When we got in the car my wife said
she could listen to him all night. Again the voice and he is a pleasure
to listen to when he just starts talking. this kid is going far, he
just needs to have more concerts, a couple of #1 hits so anyone reading
this write a good song and send it to Scotty, you do not need to live in Nashville to be a songwriter. a teacher or a walmart greeter can write a
good song.
By the way I did not listen to music until my wife made me
listen to American Idol and this kid named Scotty, she picked him to win
from the audition. Oh i am a 64 year midwest farmer and i now follow Scotty and will go to his concert in Grand Island, NE if i can get
tickets. i loved the song the dance and that is where his voice shines,
he does not need a band, his voice is just that good.
