Reminders from the McCreery's

Based on comments on here and on Twitter, I don't think I'm the only McCreerian frustrated with the Taste of Country Bowl. But tonight, Scotty accompanied by his family let us know that it's not worth being frustrated about. Feel free to vote, but as the McCreery's say- McCreerians rock without a pole, so let's let it go and look forward to more important things- like a single soon?!

Have a great night, y'all!

Scotty McCreery ‏@ScottyMcCreery
Hey yall, we dont needa poll to prove McCreerians are the best fans! It aint that important! Were about good music and good times. Not drama

I know and the world knows yall are the best, and thats all that matters! Love yall!

@Amy_Grubbs: If Scotty doesn't care if he wins, neither should his fans. It's okay not to vote. More important things to look forward to!

@JudyMacGarner: Yep... what Scotty said...LET IT GO... Exactly everyone, let it go. Life is too short. We know who the best fans are!

Yep... what Scotty said...LET IT GO...

@CarleyMcCulloch: I really want @ScottyMcCreery to win tho@MikeMGarner @JudyMacGarner” seriously, don't sweat it!

@ashleymccreery2 Do you really want us to vote? Given this outrageous decision, many of us were considering a boycott of TOC. It's your call
@DrDeb17 @ashleymccreery2 I would rather boycott & let the world know Y we're doing it. I'll vote until McCreerys let us no what they want.
@Sinycalone I don't think we're going to worry about it this time around

Tune into Idol THIS Wednesday

Charlotte takes the stage on Wednesday’s “American Idol.”

Auditions were held at Time Warner Cable Arena in June for the popular Fox talent contest; thousands took a shot at stardom and got a glimpse of stardom in return.

Host Ryan Seacrest worked the mob and then Season 10 champion Scotty McCreery of Garner led cheers for the cameras from atop a scissor lift.

Pieces of the article mentioning Scotty were taken from here:

Taste of Country Semi Finals

Taste of Country Bowl Semi-Finals Begin With Five Teams After Round 2 Discrepancies

Almost a quarter of a million votes were cast during Round 2 of the 2013 Taste of Country Bowl. All four matchups came down to the final day, with one being decided by a close margin, and another producing two winners. The Semi-Finals promise to be just as contested, with just six days for each team to prove that they’re best in country music.

After nearly 50,000 votes, Taylor Swift‘s fans outvoted Lady Antebellum‘s by just 51 votes. It was the closest finish in ToC Bowl history, but not the one that has fans in shock on as we move in to the third round. That honor goes to the matchup between Scotty McCreery and Brantley Gilbert.

McCreerians surged to a late lead, but a closer look at voting totals from both sides revealed that some fans finagled their way around the once-per-hour voting rule, giving their team an unfair advantage. Dedicated followers of both artists spent hours rooting for their favorite to win, and it’d be wrong to penalize either group. So, both McCreeriansand BG Nation will move on to the Semi-Finals round against Team Swifties in an unprecedented three-way matchup.

The other side of the bracket was formatted in a more decisive fashion, with Eric Church‘s Church Choir taking 58 percent of the vote against Blake Shelton‘s 42 percent. Church’s team will face Carrie Underwood this round, as she squeaked by her friend Brad Paisley by seven percentage points.

The 2013 Taste of Country Bowl Semi-Finals will produce two winners for the finals, which will begin next Monday (Jan. 28). Voting for the current round will end on Jan. 27 at 11:59PM ET.

Note: Anyone found to be using a technological advantage to outpace the one vote per hour rule will be deemed ineligible and his or her votes will be removed.

Taylor Swift vs. Brantley Gilbert vs. Scotty McCreery – Taste of Country Bowl Semi-Finals 2013

The most hotly-contested round of the 2013 Taste of Country Bowl ended Sunday evening (Jan. 20), with Scotty McCreery sitting just ahead of Brantley Gilbert. Close inspection of the voting revealed some discrepancies however, and as a result, these Semi-Finals will put forth an unprecedented three-way challenge in the name of fairness. McCreery, Gilbert and Taylor Swift – who topped Lady Antebellum during Round 2 voting — will face off to see which team can move forward into the final round.

The rules are the same. Each singer and his or her fans will battle to push their team forward by working together to tally votes. All three of these superstars are adept at galvanizing their fans in a fight to the very end. It will be a true test of dedication to see who has the best team.

The winner of this Round 3 matchup will get to face either Eric Church or Carrie Underwood in the ToC Bowl finals. Fans are allowed to vote only once every hour. Any voter found to be outpacing that rule will be deemed ineligible, forfeiting their votes. Voting for the Semi-Finals matchups will end on Sunday Jan. 27 at 11:59PT ET.

The overall Taste of Country Bowl winner for 2013 will be announced on Feb. 4 — one day after Super Bowl XLVII is played in New Orleans.

Vote NOW once an hour over at Taste of Country.

Note: Please keep the comments positive. We understand this could potentially be viewed as something negative against Scotty and McCreerians. But let's show everyone what McCreerians are made of and win this one too!
