Scotty McCreery announces 'See You Tonight' tour

Scotty McCreery, who topped the Billboard country albums chart last month with his album See You Tonight, will launch his next tour in January.

McCreery's See You Tonight Tour has announced shows in seven cities, including one at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium and a two-night stay at the Island Resort Casino in Harris, Mich. A March 12 date at the Greensboro Coliseum in McCreery's home state of North Carolina will coincide with the opening night of the 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball tournament there.

"It's cool to be able to sing the songs for people that I wrote because they came from my heart," McCreery said via press release. "This tour will capture more of who I am than anything I have ever done."

McCreery, whose 2011 Clear as Day debut sold more than a million copies, is nominated for Breakthrough Artist at the American Country Awards, which will air live on Fox on Dec. 10

Jan. 24, 2014 – Paramount Arts Center, Ashland, Ky.
Jan. 25 – Hampton Coliseum (WGH WinterFest), Hampton, Va.
Feb. 15 – Billy Bob's, Fort Worth
Feb. 18 – Ryman Auditorium, Nashville
March 1 – Sea World, Orlando
March 12 – Greensboro, Coliseum, Greensboro, N.C.
May 16-17 – Island Resort Casino, Harris, Mich.
