American Idol Winner, Scotty McCreery, in Concert at Six Flags Over Texas

Country music sensation and Season 10 American Idol Winner, Scotty McCreery, will take over the Music Mill Amphitheatre stage at Six Flags Over Texas on Saturday, June 15 as part of the MIKE AND IKE® Summer Concert Series. His performance at the theme park is part of his first headline tour, the Weekend Roadtrip Tour 2013, which stops at 25 venues throughout the country.

As the winner of American Idol, McCreery has quickly jumped to the top of the country music scene. In 2011, he won New Artist of the year at the American Country Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards. His album, Clear As Day, topped the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country charts, earning him a spot in the Guinness World Records Book for being the youngest male in history to score a No.1 album on the all-genre chart with a debut release. Clear As Day sold over one million copies in less than three months, and the album’s first two singles, “I Love You This Big” and “The Trouble With Girls,” are certified Gold. McCreery is currently working on his forthcoming new album.

“We’re excited to have a talented singer like Scotty McCreery perform at our park,” said Steve Martindale, Six Flags Over Texas park president. “It’s always a great treat to our guests when we can bring a high-caliber act to our concert stage.”

  9. Scotty had so many enthusiastc tweets. I am thrilled for him. Hopefully this weekend will boost his spins a lot. Is Cumulus playing him at all? Our station owned by Cumulus is still not playing him - NYC 94.7 NASH. They are a typical Cumulus station that plays the same rotation of songs several times a day. I would nof mind if one of the songs was a Scotty song. TPTB at radio wknt e able to ignore him for long. Thank goodness for QDR I love their station. It is fantastic! Our Scotty is doing so well. Love him.

  11. I just came back from Raleigh, NC I saw Scotty's new BO Jangles commercial, it is very nice. They play his songs in his home town and the state of NC. They also put the advertisement of Scotty coming to SIX FLAGS OVER TX, and it sounded so good. Scotty is doing such a wonderful job on his concerts. What a wonderful young man, and He is blessed of the Lord. God be with U Scotty. GRANDMA IN TX.

Iy's a shame how the country radio stations operate,..Yu have a good artist with a great song, and they just refuse to give him the air play he deserves..so many songs all sound the same,if you sing about beer, and trucks, and parties they'll play it to the hill.I just shut them off you can only take so much of the same ones over, and over,,it seems like a deliberate act on there part to hold him back.
