Scotty McCreery debuts unreleased tune in Nashville

Country stars debut unreleased tunes in Nashville showcase

Scotty McCreery, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, and many other of your favorite country singers sang some unreleased music!

(Yahoo!) - Outside of an awards show, it's hard to imagine a more star-studded concert than the one put on by Universal Music Group at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday. Get a gander at this bill: George Strait, Lady Antebellum, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Little Big Town, Vince Gill, Josh Turner, Darius Rucker, Kacey Musgraves, Billy Currington, David Nail, and six other artists came out to perform one acoustic song each (with the exception of King George, who, being a star among stars, was allowed three for his climactic appearance).

The catch was that you had to be a DJ or programmer to attend this noontime showcase during the annual Country Radio Seminar. Those who did got a pretty good idea of what some of the big hits of the coming year will be, as more than half the artists performed unreleased material, with the remainder playing songs that are still fairly fresh newcomers to the chart.
The annual event is also an opportunity for tastemakers to pick out a possible star of the future, when a fresh-faced unknown suddenly gets a standing ovation. Last year, that instant discovery was Kacey Musgraves. This year, it was a young woman named (write this name down) Mickey Guyton. But if Guyton provided the afternoon's biggest wow factor among newcomers, two other forthcoming freshman acts, the Brothers Osborne and Chris Stapleton, also looked likely to cause huge waves in 2013.

  2. Scotty sang 'Suntan' and 'See You Tonight' so I suppose one of those two is going to be his single. I notice he's singing March 2nd at the Opry, it'll be interesting to hear which one of these he sings, likely 'SYT' as its the one he wrote! Hopefully, its a winner for him on the radio!

  4. I'll be listening tonight to the Opry performances on the radio tonight for sure. Of the 3 new songs Scotty has previewed so far, I love RTN and SYT best. Either of those would be great as first singles. I think Suntan is a great and fun concert song but the other two songs sound more like radio hits to me. It made me so happy to hear the positive buzz about Scotty's new material by radio people at the CRS event! I am so excited about Scotty's next single and video. I really miss voting for videos and hearing Scotty on the TV every day like when TTWG was playing on CMT and GAC fairly regularly, at least once or twice a day. With the next single, I hope it will be a much bigger hit and get a lot more airtime!!

    1. I agree 100%, stylin! I want Scotty to sing "Rock This Night" when he guest appears on American Idol this season! The place will go nuts!!! He looks and sounds like a real superstar performer, and I love how they do it on the tour, when Scotty is standing in front of the screen with his arms raised! That is superstar, baby!! I am so pumped to see his "full on" concert in Valdosta, GA, on May 25th!!

    2. I agree! I've listened to good videos of 'Suntan' and 'See You Tonight' but 'Rock This Night' is still my favorite. I love Scotty's voice on this song and the beat is awesome!

  6. He really does look good in this shirt, and yeah its a really good picture he has all these great pictures from his concerts and they still want to use the ones from his idol shows he has grown up so much since then. I think Gotta see ya tonight will be a good single or Rock this night at first and then maybe he can go for another one like Suntan in the summer. I think he could have had more off Clear as Day too if they put em out there because You make that look good and Write my # on your hand went so good at concerts they probably would have made a good single and also like CLear as Day it was sad but they say those are the kinds that make good singles. But Scotty I think with thses three you have now I think each one would make a good one!!!!YAY can't wait!!!! I'm ready just when ya'll are!!!ILYTB
