There is a video of the interview with Scotty but it does not have an embedded code for me to copy & post on here. But if you click on the link below it will take you to the page so you can view it.

American Idol season 10 winner Scotty McCreery has had a busy couple of
years. His debut album topped the Billboard 200 and went platinum, he
performed at the Grand Ole Opry and released a Christmas album!

After singing the holiday classics, McCreery says he is now ready to send
fans some new tunes, "We're getting ready for it, you know I was just
talking to my manager we are getting the songs compiled in one spot so I
can keep listening to them and picking the ones I like" he says.

At 19, Scotty is also concentrating on school! Especially when it comes to
his toughest subjects, "Math!! I would love to just learn about history
and english and all that stuff, but math who needs to know those
chemistry formulas? Math or calculus that ain't me" laughs the country
singer.

Scotty plans to keep an eye on Idol and says that maybe
his next album will come in handy for that! "It would be cool if
somebody covered a song of mine. That's one thing I haven't gotten yet
is a big hit song.  I've won awards and I've got platinum gold records
but I haven't had a hit song yet, so that's what we're looking for for
this sophomore album."

Look out for more music from sSotty on the radio in the months ahead.

  3. Lol! I can relate when Scotty says give me anything but Math! I so struggled with that subject! I've heard at least one contestant on Idol attempt to sing "Your Man" and Randy yelled out where's Scotty McCreery. ha! My! Goodness the songs are just being compiled for Scotty to look at! Impatient fan that I am, thought he'd be recording already! Not that I want to hurry him, take your time Scotty, with your voice just know whatever you sing your fans will love.

  4. I would hope Scotty will release a song or two from this new album BEFORE the album is released. Pick the very best song and release a single. REAL SOON.

  5. I just want to wish everone a Happy New Year and to thank everone that compiles Scotty events and memos. That takes a lot of work and I commend those that can do it for us. I don't think we thank use enough. There are 3 available fan sights that I can rely on and this is one of them. Thank use again.

  6. Scotty would like to see someone cover his songs on Idol. That's a major compliment. The first person to cover was a 9 y/o boy singing I Love you This Big way back when it was fairly new. Scotty was so honored that he flew down and met the kid. I wish I could find that story again. I wish I had saved it to my files.

  7. Totally off subject but I was in my local grocery store yesterday afternoon, when all of a sudden I heard "I Love You This Big" on their loud speakers. Where I live, Scotty's songs are never played on the radio so it was a wonderful surprise to hear his beautiful voice other than in my home/car. Completely made my day!!

  9. 7:45, How did you contain yourself????? And I agree he should release a single. Like Brad did with SCZ...album wasn't out yet and isn't still, I think but he is on the voting lists. Scotty needs that.

  10. I think it would be great if a contestant sang one of his songs. Granted no one will think it is as good as him, but that is what the kids do. Some said he should never sing GS, GB, EP, but he does them all sooooo goooood. Have at it kids! A great compliment to him.

  12. I love the last line in this interview with Fox 17 Nashville "look out for Scotty's music on the radio in the months ahead"! Thank you for that! it would be wonderful if we can finally turn on the radio and hear him singing! I wish some of his beautiful songs on his Christmas album had been given the air time they deserved! Hopefully, he'll release it again next year and radio will be more generous to his fans, and play his songs.
