Scotty McCreery, "American Idol" Season 10 winner, has plotted a sporadic course across North America that gets started just a few months after his holiday release, "Christmas With Scotty McCreery."
The 19-year-old North Carolina native will begin the itinerary with a Feb. 15 performance in Niagara Falls, NY. The current schedule features 14 dates over the 10 months, including a March 8 stop at the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL, and a June 29 performance at the Country Stampede in Manhattan, KS.
Ticketing information is available at McCreery's website.
"Christmas With Scotty McCreery," the country crooner's second full-length release, hit retailers in October and peaked at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 and at the top of the magazine's Top Holiday Albums chart.
The holiday effort follows his 2011 platinum-certified first album, "Clear As Day," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country Albums charts, making him the youngest man in history to open at the top of the all-genre chart with a debut release.
"I was really pleased" with the album's success, McCreery said in a recent interview with SoundSpike. "I never expected the way it really went out there and the fans, they treated us so well. I was blown away by the success it had."

  1. Does this mean Scotty won't be touring with a big name artist like he did last year? That could be REALLY bad for him, but since he doesn't have a new album, except for the Christmas one, maybe no one thought he would be a big enough draw.

The whole purpose of touring with a big name artist is to sell albums, and have other fans introduced to the artist. If he's only doing solo concerts, there won't be new fans there. I think this is really a risky way to go.

    1. Did you miss the bus? SCOTTY HAS a NEW ALBUM coming out around may june . He has plenty of time to tour with big name artist its not going to hurt him he needs to focus on his album and a hit song period. He knows what he is doing im not worried at all he hasn't let us down yet .getting radio play is the most important task thats how his fan base will increase .

    2. Don't most artists start touring about February? I think that's when Scotty started with Brad. Guess we'll just have to wait and hear more later.

    3. I wonder if they have decided to do this because we have cried that Scotty only gets a short time to play when he is on someone else's big tour and then he is off the stage and we Scotty fans are crying for more of him. Maybe someone has read comments that Scotty fans will from now on go only to a Scotty solo concert. Just sayin'.

    4. Actually, Brad's tour last year started in January, according to my 2012 Scotty calendar.

    5. 1/4/13 8:40pm Ditto..
That's not a problem for Scotty @ all if he doesn't tour this year.
Maybe he'll tour when the spring term ends which will be end of May.
His manager seems to know exactly what he's doing.

    6. January 4, 2013 6:56 PM Are you serious? The whole purpose of touring with a big name artist is first of all to gain exposure. Sure selling albums is important too and will lead to that, but it's not the main purpose at all. Scotty draws a lot. He has full houses at his solo concertsand some sold out ons. Have you really been following him?

    7. 6:56 PM - I´m one of those who´s still hoping to hear for Scotty to join one of the big names as second opener in addition to his solo concerts. The later he´d stay connected to his loyal fanbase and the former has proven to be a perfect way to gain many new fans. Scotty´s touring with Brad has been known a huge success and that´s why I don´t share your doubt("no one thought he would be a big enough draw") and furthermore Scotty has stated in one of his interviews that he often has to turn down offers due to college and double life. Luckily we all know he and Todd will find alternatives. No worries needed

He is doing a bunch of solo tours not opening for anyone i think that's the right move . Go for it Scotty .

  5. I have a strong feeling that he will still get to tour with a major artist sometime in the available dates on each month or later part of the year. If I have to read between the lines of Judy's tweet which goes "Happy New Year everyone but especially to all McCreerians! You still rock! See you on the road... There's a big year planned just for you! " I sense that something is still brewing and the more I get so excited. I maybe wrong but whatever it is ... with or without a tour with an artist, it is fine with me.... Scotty forever !!!!! from mom4scm.

  6. I think they will be thinking of Scotty and I too think he has something up his sleeve that we all will enjoy and last night he said his music will come first even before his school and something about maybe moving to Nashville in the future to futher his Music because it is #1 for him so he must be makin some decisions even to transfer to Belmont College or Nasville for College so IDK what we are going to be hearing in the future but I don't think Scotty will make any decisions to mess his Music Career up, its ALL GOOD as he said last night.
