DeleteWhen I first saw this on idf I went in to vote and Scotty was WAY BEHIND Luke, however, when I checked in to vote again an hour later, Scotty was WAY AHEAD. I am guessing since the voting has just begun and it only takes a few votes to make a big difference, that we McCreerians will have to be faithful in our voting every hour as much as possible. Since I am retired and at home most of the day, I will certainly make the effort to vote every hour.....hopefully, there will be a lot of other McCreerians who can do this also. Just LOVE seeing our young man in the lead on these polls!!!! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

ReplyDeleteIt always seems you get some one that is not a fan of Scotty's checking out what going on.Common sense will tell you that Luke has a lot of other artist that are his friends that he hangs out with,and there fans support one another if there not competing against one another,This is a lot harder for Scotty and I think his fans arethe best no matter what the outcome. He's doing good ,so proud of him ,and his supporters
I think you are right. I know that I usually vote for Brad when he is up against anyone other than Scotty. I'm sure Luke has a TON of fans who vote for him because he is friends with their favorite artist. All we McCreerians can do is try to vote every hour to the end and hope we can overcome Luke's fanbase. This one is going to be a tough one!!! I think TOC knew this when they "pitted" these two artist against one another. I think they figured Luke was probably one of only a few artists who might stand a chance against Scotty. Let's go McCreerians and show TOC we still ROCK!!!!

ReplyDeleteStill voting,and waiting for a surge like the other day when Scotty went up in a flash,if his big fan base would just all vote for two hours that should get him up there.I heard one time he had over 600,000 fans ,if only they would get out there,and vote.I won't give up till the end.win or loose we are doing great.Lukes has a lot of friends that are as thick as mud,espeially when there not against each other,plus the country fans really never supported Scotty because he came from idol.All of this says Scotty still has a huge fan base to be holding on to the lead.
I don't think all that many of Luke's fans are voting. He's in big leagues....triple plat. singles and beyond...He's huge right now. The heavy hitters always lose in these polls cause their fans don't have to help push em to the top, as they are already there. None of these TOC polls pair participants well. It's just a way for newcomers to receive fan support but TOC's deal is to get site hits. I think if they paired a little more reasonably results would be more meaningful. Sorry but I don't vote for these rinky dink polls anymore. Sales, touring and awards seem to tell the real story of how well the artist is supported among fans and industry. These polls, at best, just measure who has the most power voting fans which may be significant to some but I don't see much point in them. when it's primarilty TOC that gets the attention. And as far as who they promote, it seems like they go which ever way wind is blowing at the time.

ReplyDeleteI am voting every hour for Scotty. It was hard to remember to begin with, but then I got smart and set the kitchen stove timer. It goes off and I run for the computer, which I leave on. I pull up TOC and click....reset the timer and go about my day or evening until the timer goes off again! Scotty is climbing, did the other McCreerians figure out my secret??? Keep up the good work!!! No sacrifice is too great for our No. 1 Star!!!

ReplyDeleteIt would not accept my votes,there pop up kept on saying we counted your vote.There was an hour,and a half,and a five hour distance from i.p.m until 5a.m,so i wrote a comment,explaining what had happened when I would try to vote now it's working again.I'm glad the error was corrected since then I removed the comment.At least four of my votes were lost,I someone else wrote she was having a problem with the same thing.For now it's good.

DeletePleaIse don't get discouraged. With the % count, the more votes that are cast the longer it takes to see a change. That is good, as Scotty is ahead, so though it may not move up really fast, it won't move down really fast either. (Same with his opponent). At work today, I cast 2 votes every hour, as I took my laptop with me (I always do....to listen to Scotty) and used my work computer to vote every hour. I kept track of the movement. It began at 59.96 at 9:04 (Mountain time) and at 8:30 tonight it is at 60.43. During the day it went as low as 59.36.....The movement is slight, but each time Scotty's % goes up a point, the opponents will come down a point. SO.....we just want it to stay steady...or go up slightly and all will be fine. VOTE each hour all week-end....:)

ReplyDeleteLet's all vote till 11:59 tonight,Luke is gaining some points.I myself would like to say it was awful how many times I tried to vote,and that pop up kept telling me they counted my vote.Some of the time difference was at least 5 hours,I waited till at least 1 hour ,and fifteen minutes to vote.I lost at least fifteen or more votes.If Luke catches up they could take there poll,and stuff it I wonder if Lukes votes were blocked.
4:05 P.M. is so right about the voting. I have been keeping track of the times I voted and the usual time wait between votes averaged about 1 hour and 20 minutes. The really strange thing is that Scotty had 59.88% at 4:09 P.M. and my last vote at 5:28 P.M. was exactly the same 59.88%. But I am glad they are where they are right now because earlier in the day they were really going down. Staying the same is better than dropping. We only have about 6 more hours so I will keep my faith in Scotty. Sue

Taste of Country started round 2 with Lady Antebellum vs Taylor Swift. But by reading their information I got the impression Scotty won't be up for voting this week. They made it sound like in another week Scotty will be up against Brantley Gilbert. If anyone understands it please post it because I am very confused.
