Sunday I had the opportunity to travel to Nashville for the taping of GAC’s ACM New Artist of the Year Special! As any country music fan would be, I was ecstatic about being a part of this. With only a days notice I gathered some family, packed a bag, & off we went to see Scotty McCreery, Brantley Gilbert, and Hunter Hayes.
Once everyone got inside the venue there was a funny announcer that told us the rules and joked with the crowd. Then it was recording time! It was a little odd but we filmed the ending first. The Band Perry came on stage, thanked everyone for coming out, and performed “You Lie” then “All Your Life”. Sets were changed then Scotty took the stage. He performed “The Trouble With Girls” & “You Make That Look Good”. I was really impressed with Scotty. In between the songs he was talking to the fans and someone ask when he was touring with Brantley he replied, “I don’t know. I’d love to. Brantley’s the man!” I immediately liked him after that comment. I came in not being much of a fan but after seeing him interact with the crowd and perform I could quickly understand why he melts the hearts of young ladies. After Scotty finished it was time for Brantley!
I only posted the parts about Scotty you can read the full article by clicking the link below

Scotty McCreery‘s hardly having any trouble scoring success, especially when it comes to his latest single, ‘The Trouble With Girls.’ The tune has now reached gold certification for sales exceeding 500,000 copies sold, according to the RIAA.
‘The Trouble With Girls’ is McCreery’s second single to reach gold certification, following his previous release and first single, ‘I Love You This Big,’ both of which can be found on his debut album, ‘Clear as Day.’
“Having the first single go gold was crazy, but having the second single go gold and to see the response it is getting in our shows is incredible,” McCreery beams. “I wish I could come up with better words than ‘wild’ and ‘incredible,’ because this is really special. It’s a huge honor. I’m glad the single is doing well, and I’m looking forward to keep singing it on the road.”
But his singles are not the only successful releases coming from his camp. ‘Clear as Day’ has already been certified platinum, impressively just three months after its release — reaching sales of more than one million. The album hit stores back in October and topped both the Billboard Top 200 albums chart and the Top Country Albums chart. The feat made the ‘American Idol‘ winner the youngest man in history to debut at No. 1 on the all-genre chart with his premiere album.
Sales of ‘Clear As Day’ also gave McCreery the achievement of having the highest number of sales of any country solo artist’s album released in the past 12 months, which led to him locking in the top slot on the charts for six straight weeks.
McCreery’s albums and singles will more than likely continue to sell like hot-cakes, seeing how the young star is currently criss-crossing the country with Brad Paisley on his high-profile Virtual Reality Tour. As far as I'm aware Scotty IS appearing on #IDOL this season!!! Why wouldn't he?
Fingers crossed Scotty will be back 2 times. Once to sing the elimination song he's rumored to have recorded and his single. :)

Since Brad Paisley is known for his habit of playing pranks on his tour mates, Scotty McCreery had been thinking of a way of having a little fun with Brad in return while on the road during his Virtual Reality Tour 2012.
During Brad’s shows, he has shown doctored photos featuring Scotty’s head on the body of a muscular man in a bathing suit, and he recently put a photo of Ernest T. Bass from The Andy Griffith Show on Scotty’s dressing room door.
During Brad’s performance of “Celebrity,” the screens flash fake tabloid headlines including “Is Scotty McCreery Brad Paisley’s Love Child?” So perhaps it’s fitting that Scotty’s joke involved dressing up like Brad and surprising the star onstage.
“Apparently Brad leaves his hat backstage at every show, but I didn’t find out until last week,” Scotty says. “I was going to take the hat out onstage that day and poke fun, but we decided it would be too early in the tour because it would leave too much time for him to prank me back. So we decided to wait a little while and perfect the prank – goatee, a tight Brad Paisley shirt and a guitar.”
“When we thought the time was right, we put it all together and went out there,” Scotty says. “He loved it! He was cracking up. So now I am sleeping with one eye open.”
The latest celebrity to get Brad Paisley, however, might be the last person you'd expect. None other than baby-faced American Idol, Scotty McCreery, jumped into the prank ring with Brad Paisley, getting his feet wet with a spoof on the headlining star himself. During their tour stop in Springfield, Missouri on February 25th, Scotty McCreery walked out on stage during Brad Paisley's song Celebrity, dressed as Brad Paisley! Sporting the signature white hat, an apparently drawn-on beard, a Brad Paisley t-shirt and a guitar, Scotty McCreery surprised the unsuspecting, but good-natured country superstar.
Enjoying his own prank, Scotty McCreery later tweeted:
Scotty Paisley went out to join @BradPaisley on "Celebrity" tonight!
and Well #shotsfired tonight.. too bad i only got a pistol n @BradPaisley prolly has a bazooka somewhere, hahah
Brad Paisley returned Twitter fire with this tweet and picture of Scotty "Brad" McCreery: So some young smart@$& who looked a little like me & a lot like @ScottyMcCreery showed up tonight..
Past victims of Brad Paisley would probably tell Scoty McCreery to run for the hills about now. Brad Paisley is not the kind who will let this little mockery fade away without retaliation. Will Brad Paisley get Scotty McCreery back at the next tour stop, or could St. Louis see a little bit of the hilarious action when the two arrive here together for Brad Paisley's Country Mega Ticket concert on May 18th? Knowing Brad Paisley, it just might be both! Only time will tell, but two things are certain, when Brad Paisley, Scotty McCreery and The Band Perry roll into town this spring, they will have already amassed quite a few stories to someday hand down to their grandchildren and, the St. Louis concert is going to be a blast.
