Scotty McCreery

Harrahs Event Center at Harrah's Cherokee
In
May, he won Season Ten of American Idol when a record-breaking 122.4
million votes were cast for the finale and nearly 39 million people
tuned in to see the winner's name announced. He recorded his debut album
while starring in the American Idols Live! Tour, which Pollstar ranked
as one of the nation's Top 15 tours.
Scotty
is pleased that he was able to accomplish the goals he had set for his
album. "I wanted to make sure people could hear me through the songs
they were listening to," he says. "On American Idol, I always told them,
'What you see is what you get. Scotty on the show is Scotty off the
show. I'm the same guy onstage and offstage.' On this album, I wanted
them to make sure they really got who I am, how I grew up in Garner,
N.C., and what I am all about," he says. "It was also really important
to me to keep some of the traditional elements of country music in it,
to remember where country came from, and I think we did that. I hope
that the people who listen to this record will see that and appreciate
it and really see exactly who I am."

ReplyDeleteALL OF US MCCREERIANS ARE TOO!
"I hope that the people who listen to this record will see that and appreciate it and really see exactly who I am"
AND, WE DID, AND WE DO
I agree 8:51am! Scotty with all he stands for is a breath of fresh air in this upside down world we live in. I read Max Lucado's Christmas prayer that Scotty tweeted about, and a prayer for Jesus's return to restore peace and sanity is my prayer too. Another unfathomable act of evil against the most innocent is heart-breaking! My prayers go out to all those who suffered this tremendous loss and grieve with them!
ReplyDeleteAmen, 10:01. Gut-wrenching and heartbreaking can't come close to describing the horror. May God somehow comfort these grieving families and the community of Newtown, CT. My heart is broken for them. God bless Scotty for being a bright light in a very dark, desperate world we are living in. Another reason we need people like him in the public eye at this point in history, public figures who stand for good and represent love and hope.
DeleteAmen!!!
DeleteLast concert until February hope we get some video. It will be a long dry spell.
ReplyDeleteI know!! :-((((( Maybe something in Jan???
DeleteSince Scotty is getting his wisdom teeth pulled on Jan. 2nd, he'll be on the "disabled list" for at least a couple of weeks. I am hoping once he can sing again he'll be making some progress on his sophomore album. He says it is likely coming out the 2nd quarter of 2013 (April/May/June) so it will have to be recorded early in the year for a second quarter release date. Plus, sometimes it is tricky traveling in January with winter weather, etc. I am willing to go through a dry spell in January to get a new album, that is definitely worth the sacrifice!!! Remember, we survived spring last year while he was back in high school and just playing baseball, so we can do it!!
DeleteTHANK YOU SO MUCH SCOTTY FOR BEING SO THOUGHTFUL FOR SENDING US THE PRAYER BY MAX LUCADO. THANK GOD FOR YOU,BECAUSE YOUR LIGHT IS ALWAYS SHINING IN THIS DARK WORLD. HAVE MERCY ON THE PARENTS AND GRAND-PARENTS, BROTHERS AND SISTERS. WE GOT TO PRAY MORE NOT LESS. THAT SAME SPIRIT THAT WAS TRYING TO KILL THE BABY JESUS AND MOSES IS STILL PREVALENT TODAY. GOD BLESS YOU SCOTTY. THANKS YOU. GRANDMA FROM TX.
