  3. That's great news! Shawn Johnson is the olympian that is on Dancing With The Stars. Someone said, she had background music of Scotty's music in an ad showcasing her as a olympian. I remember seeing the ad, but didn't know it was her! Anyway, I'll be watching the show too. Scotty will likely appear towards the end of the show as he usually does. I'll be surpised if its any different!

    1. Yes she did. I tweeted it to Scotty and his mom too. She is a huge fan of country music and Scotty is her favorite. She is a fantastic person and role model. She has a wonderful relationship with her parents and her mom is by her side. She is very driven, fun, humble, talented, and successful young lady. I'm thrilled that Scotty got to meet her because I know if they asked her to present and she had a choice she would pick Scotty. The piece NBC did on her and her mom had BOTG playing the entire time and it was very fitting. I will look for the piece again and post the link. Please watch DWTS and vote for Shawn. She is fantastic. I hope this means Scotty will be on DWTS to sing a Christmas song.

  15. If you go to this site called "Just Jared CMA" there's an item there that says Lucy Hale actress from the Pretty Little Liars is joined by Scotty McCreery on the red carpet! A cute picture of Scotty!

  18. Scotty tends to change things in interviews. Tonight he said he and his buddies used to always listen to country. He's never said that. He usually says they were listening to boy bands. He said Carrie was too crossover and pop. Now he says he'd like to sing with her. Also said to Steven Tyler about the 'f' word...ain't nothing I haven't heard at high school. Then another time he says we don't talk like that in Garner . several other things too. Just noticing.

    1. When talking of Back Street boys he´d prob been referring to the majority while talking about the close buddies when talking about listening to country music. Just to give an example that we always take out bits and pieces of the whole picture. When talking about Carrie he might have changed his mind. Changing minds and perspectives in life is what humans do.

    2. 3:33am Strange, I have never heard Scotty say Carrie was too crossover and pop, ever! In fact, he and his buddies are huge fans of Carrie, and understandably so, she's beautiful and an amazing singer! And I definitely heard Scotty say he and his buddies use to listen to country, one song in particular 'Swingin' on the way to baseball games! I think the whole conversation has to be put into play before I would say he contradicts himself! Otherwise, I don't think its a fair comment!

  19. We have to keep in mind that the press has this habit of asking the same questions everytime - and even if they ask new questions related to the present, they always have to throw in one or two questions that have been asked and answered a million times over -

Scotty has said that he and his best friends/buddies listen to country music, and the reference to pop/hip hop refers to all the other kids in school -

I don't think Scotty really thought much about performing duets when he decided that he wanted a career in country music - but since he is always asked that question he naturally has to come up with an answer - Early on he has said Loretta Lynn or Dolly Parton, but perhaps he feels he needs to pick someone more current, and, well, there really aren't any current country artists in classic country - But if he does record a duet, it will also depend on the song - Personally I would love him to record a duet with Tim McGraw because their voices just blend so well - It looks to me that Scotty is spreading his wings and now that he is working with professionals in the industry, he is learning so much - so let's see - i think his next country album will showcase more of his artistry -

  20. Tim McGraw, yes. They sound great.

  21. Scotty did early on say Carrie was acrossover and too pop, but can't say exact date. But he can chage his mind like everyone else. He became a big supporter of hers. This was before he met Carrie, I think.
