CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A North Carolina native is now the face of a popular North Carolina eatery.
Bojangles' announced on Thursday that American Idol winner and Garner-grown Scotty McCreery is the front man of a new campaign.
Given that stereotypically, the 'South' tends to bring to mind southern cooking and country music, Bojangles' says McCreery is a perfect fit.
“I’m proud to partner with a great Southern brand like Bojangles’ that’s been such a big part of my life growing up in the Carolinas,” said McCreery, who took the entertainment world by storm in 2011 by winning the tenth season of the popular TV show at the age of 17.
The new Bojangles' ad campaign will feature craveable menu items and showcase the Southern roots that make both the country crooner and Bojangles' such fan favorites. Two spots have been produced for TV, and a series of radio commercials and merchandising elements are also set to appear in select Bojangles' markets through the company's 10-state footprint.
The new team also announced that there's something in it for you; as part of their exclusive partnership, Bojangles' and McCreery are offering fans a free song download from McCreery's new album, Christmas with Scotty McCreery.
To claim your free holiday tune, visit any Bojangles' restaurant beginning November 26, and grab your card with a unique download code. The card entitles you to your choice of one of three Christmas classics: First Noel,Jingle Bells and O Holy Night.
McCreery's holiday album hit stores October 16, and debuted at number four on the Billboard Albums Chart.
