  4. I am so happy today!! I am calling my country station owned by the incredibly horrible Cumulus to let them know. Jimmy Iovene wanted another platinum - He got Gold and he'll hopefully get platinum . I adore Scotty and he is #1 in my book.

I saw Paul Simon rebroadcast of an interview of Center Stage hosted by Michael Kay and Paul Elvis is his all time favorite performer. He plays a little etc. It is very interesting. I met Paul's mom many years ago and have always admired him so we talked for at least 45 min about Paul. I really enjoyed her and he was just as candid. I would love for Scotty to see it. He goes info detail about going to college and music and having his first hit at a young age with his childhood friend Art Garfunkel. If you have a chance to see it. I would highly recommend it.

  8. Sure wish there was a way to get to Cumulus Radio. .....Hum all they worry about in our market is accumulating sales of advertisement. Maybe boycott all marketed items until they get priorities straight? Country music is secondary to their $$$ grab.

  9. So very happy, Scotty.

  10. Congrats! Scotty! Love, love your album "Christmas With Scotty McCreery". Every song on the album with your beautiful baritone voice is special in its own way and the background music is wow...its good!!!

  11. Cumulus and clear channel both use SmartJack as an advertiser. They discount all kinds of stuff in local markets. If you look at the restaurants they advertise thet go through restaurant.com. You can go to restaurant.com and put in you city to see what restaurants are participating in these

    1. Maybe scotty fans should tell Cumulus and C´s advertisers that they won´t listen to C stations and not buying advertisers´products as long as Cumulus doesn´t play Scotty. When money comes into the game I´m sure they would listen because there is an army of Scotty fans

  14. Hits Daily Double reports Scotty's total sales for week 50,559 and there's lots of shopping time left! Scotty's album is lumped in with Blake S., Lady A, and M. Bubles'...not much difference in sales. These other artists have been around a long time including Rod Stewart who is recognized as a super star over many years...his album I'm sure is bought on sight and is selling the most! I think Scotty's album is 'the big treat' this year in Christmas albums!

  15. Congrats, Scotty. I do have one complaint about CWSM and that is that you didn't put Christmas Cookies on it. Do you remember the reaction from the crowds when you sang that? It was priceless. You owned that song! I hope you will sing it sometime, though I know you will be promoting your album. But that was a big favorite for me.

    1. I agree and have to say, I hope his hit single coming up in the new year is flirtatious like 'Christmas Cookies', like 'Your Man', and like 'SCIBIT'. I think Scotty's coverage of these songs are big crowd pleasers!!!

    2. I think I´m different. My focus is always on the positive and that´s why I enjoy those 11 absolutely beautiful songs Scotty has put on his album instead of focusing on the one he left out.

    3. Absolutely 3:58pm from 2:31pm! For me that's not taking away from Scotty's selection on his Christmas album....the album is wonderful just the way it is! But everybody has their favorite Christmas song that Scotty's sung, and that's ok too! I personally have difficulty picking a favorite from his album they're all so good in their own way!

    4. Scotty would have to have permission to use Christmas cookies on his cd.

  16. Listening to Darius Rucker singing Winter Wondeland, my favorite off CWSM. Why is Scotty not on GAC even. I don't understand what is going on. This kid deserves to be be heard. This is getting frustrating. I know GAC likes Scotty...he's been on several times. He even does that This is Scotty Mccreery and I'm Living Country on GAC.Very unhappy now.

  17. If everyone who bought this album just buys a few more for gifts, we could get to platinum. I know we all want this for Scotty. I bought several as gifts, but there's always more people we could think of. Maybe people like the mailman, UPS driver, hairdresser or teachers. Some of these people might not be Christians, and this would be a great way for them to hear the wonderful message on Mary Did You Know.

    1. Thanks 2:04! Great idea...I mailed the CD's to all of my friends. They got a treat: Instead of just a Christmas card, each of them are getting Scotty's Cd--They might think I won the "powerball!"... Excited about our Scotty...What a way to start the Holiday for him and his family...What a way to belt his songs with a golden stamp on 'em! God is good! And for Scotty: "It's all good!"

  18. I believe Scotty needs a single off the album to get played on GAC. I don't understand why they haven't released a single. Frustrated too.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Just maybe they are waiting for the Scotty Special on GAC to air, that would be December lst.

    ReplyDelete
  20. i agree he does need a single as of Yesterday, I mean really he was #1 and 2 with Watertower Town on GAC right up there with Carrie Underwood and he didn't really get on CMT because they didn't give it a chance but I think he would have been up there also on there chart, so I don't understand all these people on tv's and radio's but they need to get him on there bcause they are the ones thats missing out you would think as good as he is he would make em some money, right? He does so good with Watertower Town at his concerts.Oh Well guess I just have to be patient but we want his Name to be out there like everyone eles's its just not fair but I will just have to listen to him like I have been. Proud of you Scotty. ILYTB

  21. Since the Christmas season is short, I think better a single comes in the new year. But right now why radio isn't playing 'Christmas In Heaven', Holly Jolly Christmas, or any one of the other songs on his album is beyond me. Its had great reviews and rightfully so...!!

  22. Congrat!! Scotty WEll deserve!!! I'm so happy right now cause it went gold. and I love it. I just love hearing that baritone voice,On the CD when it gets to O HOLY NIGHT I Sing along with you and it's so Special. It's like I'm right there with you. cause Todd hasn't come up with A Christmas video yet to put out. Since it has gone GOLD now maybe they will do one now. then we will have one on GAC to watch and vote. ILYTB AND MORE!!!!

  24. I read that Trace Adkins is singing his new christmas single tonight on Rockefeller Center. Also this is a good article. It gives a couple more dates for Scotty.

    1. I wonder why Scotty didn´t sing his two originals. Wasn´t he allowed or did he choose the songs he performed which actually rank lower in popularity on itunes than his originals. He did great. I´m just wondering

  25. I keep hearing LIS by Lady A, Hear WW by Darius Rucker and then I'm on hold on a phone call and what do they play, WW by Michael Buble. My favorites and I keep hearing every one but Scotty singing. Bah Humbug!

  33. What a great way for Scotty to celebrate "Gold" for his album CWSM! I really enjoyed Scotty and his band rockin to "HJC" at the Rockefeller Center. Just found out there was a pre-show and Scotty opened with another fun song on his album, his really good version of 'jingle bells'. Will have to watch for videos of it! Also Billboard has Scotty's Christmas album listed at #2 with Rod Stewart #1. Yay! way to go, Scotty!! Rod sang 'Let It Snow' at the Rockefeller Center but as much as I've always been a big fan of his music, IMO his version of this song is nowhere near as good as how Scotty sounds on his album singing that song!

    1. Oh, I am in the NY area and it was on NBC here from 7-9 pm. I almost missed it because I thought it was on at 8 pm. I just happened to turn on the tv at 7 pm, but I didn't see Scotty singing JB in the beginning. Did you see it? I think I caught it from the beginning when was he on? I love Scotty's version of JB. Please let me know.

I was sad they only allowed him 1 song and Il Vilo played 3 or 4 times. They talked Scotty up so much(which I'm glad), but I thought they would have him on twice like most of the other performers.
Is NBC going to rebroadcast it? Has anyone heard?

      Delete
    2. 12:00am this is 10:38 not everyone got the pre-show. If you got two hours, you must have gotten the pre-show as well, and if Scotty sang first is it possible you missed him singing Jingle Bells? I only got the hour long show where Scotty sang HJC mid-way through the show! Many are upset that the pre-show wasn't broadcast everywhere!

  34. My vote for a single from the album is Christmas is Comin' Round Again. The orchestration is perfect for his voice, and the message reflects his Christian values. And to me it's the most Country of all.

    1. That´s my favorite as well. His voice is more than outstanding on this one. THE perfect fit and also agree it´s a perfect Christmas message. Wish he had performed this one. he actually hasn´t performed it at any of his latest shows. Can´t understand that.

  38. A pre-show!!! Naaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwww! And I missed it? NooooooooWaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I am so upset. I sat watching Rules of Engagement, just waiting for 8P! Darn!!! I so hope there is a video of Scotty singing both songs. He dd so great!!! Right up there with the big names! Our boy did us proud!! I clapped and cheered for him. The band looked like they were happy to be there too. So,So So very proud of you, Scotty!! You looked adorable in your red and white checked shirt and loosened tie. What a doll ! Oh! And the vocals were really really great too! I am so pumped!!!! That's where this young man belongs!!! Front and center, always!!

  39. Scotty looked so handsome in that shirt and loose tie and coat and scarf. He and the band sounded great, I thought. Couldn't really hear the crowd very good. And
I am sorry, Rod Stewarit didn't sing that song like Scotty does. The more I hear other artists singing these songs, I just think Scotty does better. He really does an amazing job on all of them. Like someone said even the songs we have heard over and over and get tired of them, Scotty pots his stamp on it. He is remarkable.

  40. This may explain Scotty's lack of country radio play.

    1. Yes, it's all the crossovers that are throwing it all off - like they said, what's the use having a country chart if it is not all country. Blahhhh!

Wonder what difference, if any, the Christian radio stations would make if they played his music? Anybody know how that works?

  41. I think the reason Scotty doesn't sing Christmas is Comin Round Again, or Christmas in Heaven is because they are more religious songs. On a national stage it is sad to say but they don't want any songs that are about Jesus. They only want songs like Jingle Bells or Holly Jolly Christmas. They don't want songs that are about our Savior. It is sad because Christmas is Comin Round Again and Christmas in Heaven are so very beautiful.

    1. Other artists did sang more religious songs. It was good they mixed it up a bit. Scotty sings Holly Jolly and Jingle Bells so well and with so much energy it is a delight to watch him. He is contagious.

  42. 5:50pm Trace Atkins sang a 'Three Wise Men' song, and I was most impressed that when the tree was lit "Joy To The World" was played!
