Despite the wet weather, spirits were high Monday evening at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh for a homecoming concert by American Idol and country artist Scotty McCreery.
13-year-olds screamed for McCreery. "I'm his number one fan ever. I love Scotty so much. To say that I love him is an understatement. I love him more than words can say," gushed a fan who only gave her name as Stephanie.
30-year-olds screamed for McCreery. "Everybody wishes their child had the same values he does," said Debbie Hunt. "It hasn't gone to his head yet, and I hope it doesn't."
They filled Dorton Arena Monday for a sold-out show that lasted about two hours and, fans said, did not disappoint. It was a classic case of teen idol-dom. Fans sang along, and some were even moved to tears.
"He's like genuinely sweet, and he doesn't have to try and girls will like him," said Victoria Blalock.
McCreery will play a second sold-out show Tuesday.

That is super. Wonder if he sang SCIBIT. The band and Scotty sound great and if that doesn't play on the radio then they are just nuts. He rocked it out, hope Priscilla and Lisa Marie here this. He did Elvis proud. One trick pony, I don't think so.

ReplyDeleteThere is a nice slideshow on wral.com thirty six pictures from the concert last night.His large screen looks so nice in the back round,the lighting looks so good,the pictures on the screen make it all look so good.He came a long way,good for you Scotty.I don't know if this is a fact but I seen where there saying he has a new video coming out with the christmas album.I'm not sure about that so will have to wait ,and see.I hope it's true maybe thats why they tok off WTT from Gac..That would be so nice I'm keeping my fingers crossed
The NC State Fair was the BEST performance I have even seen Scotty in. They did a radio interview before concert, so please post when you find. Thanks, janfan
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% That was his BEST concert ever!!! I have been to 4 and this one was the best! I also had great seating!!! Scotty was awesome. He did SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good on Gone!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteScotty was amazing last night. You don't even know until you are "one of them" (I mean a McCreerian.) He was AMAZING! I flipped out when he sang Gone! My sister,Cousin,mom,grandma, and aunt were all there!!!!!!
