  2. I will always remember that terrible day ,so many families lost there loved ones because of the hatred in the hearts of evil men.By the grace of God my son-in law life was spared. They had no idea the fist building was hit by a plane, they knew there was a fire, and his boss said lets get out of here to evacuate ,and leave. It was not a mandatory evacuation, they did not know of the horrifying attack that would soon take place. As they reached the stair well to head down,my son-in law saw the elevator door open, and he jumped on ,instead of using the stairs. His boss, and secratery, and 200 of his co-workers died that day on the stairs, the second plane hit right after he got out,They were on the 100 th floor where it was hit by the plane and they all lost there lives those who took the stairsHe took it so hard ,and questioned why he was spared ,while so many of his friends all died. Last night my daughter said to here children today remember all those who have died in a prayer, and thank God for sparing your fathers life,We will never forget that tragic day,and all those who lost there loved ones.

  5. I remember this day vividly....I was at work and one of my co-workers saw it on the tv when the first plane hit and called all of us to come to her office to see what had happened. It was only moments later that the second tower was hit and I remember thinking...Dear God, please be with these people. We all know how the rest of that terrible day unfolded and will NEVER FORGET the thousands of lives that were lost. I am so glad our country continues to honor those who lost their lives on that day and the families who are still affected to this day....God Bless Them All and God Bless the USA. Thank you Donna.

  6. People all over the world especially in the USA should never forget 9/11/01 - thousands of people lost their lives and sacrificed their lives, not only on that tragic day, but in the years after in Iraq & Afghanistan -

I have listened to this performance of Scotty probably a thousand times already.

  7. I had worked for United Airlines reservations for less than a year when on September 11, 2001, hijackers overpowered the flight crews of two United Airlines flights and took control of the planes. United Flight 175 from Boston MA to Los Angeles CA crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City at 9:01 am ET, minutes after American Flight 11 struck the top of the North Tower. United Flight 93 from Newark NJ to San Francisco CA crashed into a field near Shanksville PA at 10:03 am ET after the passengers' heroic attempt to take control of the aircraft, succeeding in preventing this flight from hitting its intended target. Having worked with these United Airlines employees and passengers, I can tell you that the United flight crews and passengers are the absolute best people imaginable--hard working, highly educated, caring people with families and careers--really the best there is. May we honor these people and their families today with our prayers and resolve.

  9. I have read all the above comments and join everyone with heartfelt thanks and prayers for all. I was home and watched the planes hit the towers. My immediate thought was that the buildings were bomb rigged. They imploded, which amazed and shocked me. I had recently seen the deliberate imploding of a casino in Las Vegas (if memory serves me right),and the towers falling looked and fell the same way. I was horrified to say the least. My heart was in agony when I saw people who chose to jump rather than die in the inferno that ensued. Never in my life do I want to witness anything like that again. The filming thereafter is still fresh in my mind....the panic, the need to help, the need to flee, the ash-filled air, the anguish of families trying to find loved ones in those buildings, hoping beyond hope that their dear ones were somehow, someway saved the destruction of life. My heart goes out to all that suffered, are suffering and will continue to suffer because of this atrocity upon our people and land. God Please Bless America and lead her to peace, freedom and justice. All is possible through love of one another.

  10. I live on the other side of the world - so it was evening in my place and I was watching TV, flicking back and forth trying to find a good show to watch - I flicked past CNN & thought, "What movie is that? I don't remember that movie..." - Then I immediately flicked back to CNN because I was thinking, that's CNN, why would there be a movie on their channel - Only to realize what was happening and that I was watching LIVE coverage and footage of what was happening - I could not believe what I was seeing! The world stood still that moment in shock and anguish, and our hearts went out to all the victims, the passengers, their families, and to all those who rushed to help that day and in the days that followed - And to the men and women in our military and their families who have made such sacrifices in the last 10 years because of that fateful day - I can never forget that day -

  18. I don't remember what week this song was sang on AT, but I was already a fan and this song just was done so beautifully, with so much emotion. There were critics that it was an AJ song and no one should sing it. It is for AJ's song and people know that. There have been anumber of others who have sang this and I don't Alan minds at all. The thing that got me is that some felt he was too young (7, I think) to understand what happened and what the song means to people. I ask anyone to watch this video and tell me they don't see understanding, passion ans emotion in Scotty. He would have heard plenty over the years and his parents probably helped him to understand. Scotty is very mature and no doubt understand the meaning of it all. Alan Jackson is a great country music personality and a wonderful song writer and will always be memembered for this song. Look at GOD Bless The U.S. Many have sang it but it will always be related to Lee Greenwood. Scotty gave a very powerul emotional cover of this.
