WGTY 107.7 Great Country PA radio station is bringing Scotty McCreery to area for private show
Posted by Mark Franklin on Sep 16, 2012
Sometime in early October, Scotty McCreery will perform a private show at an undisclosed location in the area, Donato said.
About 200 fans will be in attendance, those who win tickets through a call-in contest that WGTY — Great Country 107.7 on the FM dial — will begin Monday morning.
Each hour between 6 a.m. and midnight, callers will have a chance to win a pair of tickets to the private show when they hear a Scotty McCreery medley play on the radio.
Donato said WGTY had tried to bring Scotty to the area in the past, but scheduling problems got in the way.
Scotty has been the most successful of the recent Idol winners in terms of album sales. His “Clear as Day” debut has gone platinum and is still number 39 on the Billboard country album chart, 49 weeks after its release.

He not only has been the most successful of the recent Idol winners in terms of album sales. He has been the most successful one of all the idols in the last 12 months.
ReplyDeleteOne way to get his songs on the radio!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't bet on it. He did a similar show here in San Antonio. KJ 97 had ticket contests, used his name over and over. But not once during that week or afterwards did they play anything by him.
DeleteThis one said they would be playing a medley of Scotty's songs every hour, & I think people were supposed to call in then!
DeleteWhere is WGTY?
ReplyDeleteYork, Pa
ReplyDeleteI do know that some of the radio stations that Scotty has been on they have played his music and also they had him perform also.
DeleteIt is my thought that some who say this that they do not play Scotty's Songs DO THEY LISTEN ALL 24 HOURS?
Thanks, 7:01 PM!
Deleteer..........yeah ! Don't u?
ReplyDeleteMany say that based on the fact that they have called their local stations to ask and they say they don't have WTT on their list.
