Scotty McCreery nominated for ICM Mainstream Country Artist Award

Sorry for the delay in getting this article posted - but it's great to see Scotty listed among some big names of Country Music!  

ICM Awards Final Nominees Announced

• August 31, 2012
The final nominees for the 18th Annual ICM Faith, Family & Country Awards have been announced, and Christian country singers Chuck Day and Tommy Brandt are leading the crowd with five and four respective nominations apiece. The annual awards event is scheduled for 7 pm Thursday, October 18 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. See full list of nominees here.

  1. Omg ,look who he is listed with some great artists. Like I keep saying he just keeps getting better and better. His Young,but his favorite verse I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST THAT STRENGTENS ME IT really is true with him he just keeps going like the little go bunny.   2. To be listed among heavy-hitters in this category is a tremendous honor for Scotty! To me, this is more significant than the CMAs because he is being recognized despite the fact that he has not even cut a single release to radio with a spiritual theme. People of "inspiration" and "faith" are recognizing the character, integrity and heart of Scotty McCreery, which is much more than a great singing voice and/or hit records. This to me is huge. Scotty will probably never have a song cross over to the pop charts, but he may well someday cross over onto the Christian charts with an inspirational song, maybe even one from his Christmas album. Maybe even a Dove Award someday down the road. This is awesome!!

    1. I am sure this means the world to Scotty because it reinforces everything Scotty stands for and keeps steadfast in his heart! The other nominees are some of the role models that he strives to be like too. Wonderful honor! Probably won't ever be televised but I can wish.

  5. If anyon deserves this award Scotty does! He is the epitome of goodness. I love that he is so wholesome, down to earth and has such a deep faith. He makes me want to be a better person. I hope he touches everyone else the same way. His music to beautiful and so is his soul. ILYTB, Scotty ! Congratulations!
