Scotty McCreery Makes the 2013 Guinness Book of World Records
This morning, Guiness World Records tweeted the news to McCreery, writing “@ScottyMcCreery You’re in the new Guinness World Records 2013! Youngest male to enter US albums charts at #1!”
Attached to the tweet was a picture of McCreery in this year’s edition of the ‘Guiness Book of World Records.’
McCreery released his debut album, ‘Clear as Day,’ shortly after taking the crown on the tenth season of ‘American Idol,’ back in October of 2011. The young star’s first record was an instant hit, clinching the top spot on the U.S. Country, Billboard 200 and Canadian Albums charts.
Not only has the ‘Water Tower Town’ singer wracked up plenty of awards at the ACA, ACM and CMT awards shows, now he’s gone and broken a world record, too. There is nothing this wunderkind can’t do!
The new North Carolina State University student has to be the envy of everyone else in the freshman class.
Nice write-up. We fans are more than well aware of what this young man can do. He is the cream of the crop, in our opinion. They don't make 'em any better than Scotty McCreery!! I love this young man so much, his voice is a gift from the Lord and Scotty has been kind enough to share it with us!! He has turned my musical world upside-down!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely true....all the Grannies for Scotty love this kid like he's one of our own. I've been around long enough to see lots of musicians come and go, but none has ever impressed me like Scotty. He just a quality young man.
DeleteWell I'm a grandma too and Scotty has sure brightened up my life. We all wish we could adopt him as he is so special. Whenever I see a picture of him or hear his voice I am all smiles. He just has a way about him that you can't explain that draws you to him He is my favorite music artist ever!! I sure love this guy!!

ReplyDeleteI love Scotty. Congratulations. My son is also in the Guinness World Records. He was a badminton world record holder in high school. He came to me (before I knew) and said, "Mom, if I was world famous, would you buy me a new car?" Of course I said, "yes". Then he showed me the Guiness World Record book he was in............It (his badminton prowess) gave him a full scolarship to ASU. (They have since discontinued that program.) Proud Mom. But I agree with all the Grandmas for Scotty. It is as if he is my own. I am still listening to CAD cd every day as I go to and from work. I never tire of it. I have pre-ordered the Christmas CD and am so looking forward to it.

He has worked hard and "garner"ed many awards in his short time in the spotlight. He is just good through and through. Congrats Scotty - n Thank YOU, GOD.
