The 150th Great Frederick Fair begins today! General Manager Beck
Brashear says she's seen an uptick in ticket sales. "Sales, I think in
general, are going very well for those. We've tried to, and we've been
very successful in booking entertainment that is affordable for folks
and they can stay local and not go down the road so much," said
Brashear.
You still have time to get your tickets for most of the live
entertainment, but Brashear said it's cutting pretty close for Scotty
McCreery's show. "He doesn't have many seats left on the track, but
there are certainly a lot of good seats left in the grandstand,"
continued Brashear. McCreery is scheduled to perform Friday, September
21.
Admission to the fair Friday is free. "We will have a canned food
drive campaign. It's called 'Fill the Wheel'. Patrons are asked to bring
a non-perishable canned food item. The area's 9 food banks are in need
to help stock their shelves," said Brashear. The fair will run September 14-22 at the E-ventplex at the Frederick Fairgrounds.
I will be attending this concert and I can't wait! :)
