  5. This site was open on my computer this morning, guessing it was my daughter looking at it before heading out to school. Thought I would give everyone a description of the concert in Canfeild last night. I was supposed to attend but gave my ticket to one of my daughters friends who was unable to buy one.
Just a little background, I do enjoy Scotty's voice, I had never really listened to country music much aside from buying a few songs that I had heard played by my wife and daughter. I'm more classic rock guy but have to say I do like Scotty and think if he gets the right songs he will become a big star(From what I heard from last night he is well on his way).
After returning my daughter and her friend excitedly gave me their recap and lets just say both were blown away to put it mildly, it was the first time they had heard him live and according to my daughter his voice is even better live than it is on the CD. I thought that was a huge compliment, especially these days. She has been to two other concerts this summer, much bigger names and this was by far the most excited she was.
After my wife gave me her impressions of Scotty live. She also stated she couldnt believe how good he sounded live. She told me they got there early and she talked with numerous people while waiting. The audience was a very mixed crowd age wise and although she wasn't sure if sold out she said it was very full.
She said an 80 year old woman sat acouple seats from her, the one beside my wife was empty right up until the concert started. My wife smiled as she retold me of how excited the grandmother was to be there. She had been to all his concerts within driving range of her and my wife said she spent 20 minutes giving her all the details of Scotty's life away from the stage.
I flipped through some pictures my wife had taken during the concert and noticed my daughter in one closer to the stage than her ticket should have been. I guess numerous girls charged the stage at one point, my wife laughing said she did hold back but my daughter and her friend joined the others.
Overall she said she was very impressed and the woman who eventually sat next to her siad that while she knew who Scotty was she had not heard him since Idol. My wife said she was about her age and was there to see Martina. After Scotty finished she told my wife that she was shocked at how good he was and surprised that he was not the headliner that night. Wife said he could definitely been the headliner.
So overall a good night, the weather held off till right after and all had a good time. Maybe I'll get to join in next time he is in Ohio.

    2. Thanks for your review! Loved the comment of the person there to see Martina, and in seeing Scotty perform said, 'she was surprised Scotty wasn't the headliner' and your wife saying he could definitely have been the headliner! As a big Scotty fan, that's music to my ears! Ya!Hoo!
