  1. WOW !!!!

Scotty looks dapper and handsome in tux.
Our young boy is now growing into a young man.
Well, we are just counting 1 & a half months and he will turn 19 yrs old.

I hope the playoff tomorrow will be telecast in GOLF channel so we can watch our versatile and sportsminded Scotty play golf.

    1. I agree Scotty looks great and handsome in tux. What does he not look good in. What a handsome young man. His smile just makes one want to smile. I sure hope he is nominated for a CMA award. Since he win CMT, ACM, and ACA Awords hopfully that will also hold true to a CMA award as the Band Perry did do. Anyway he his our winner one way or nother.

    3. I think I have seen in @wral twitter ...when somebody asked them if the playoff will be televised, @wral tweeted back and said "yes! So glad he's with us this year!!! # jimmyvgolf"

    4. I am 60 yrs old and have always avoided televised golf like the plague. Only Scotty could get me to watch golf.

  2. Scotty is a class act in every way! He's always the gentleman, always humble in interviews and yet the guy is so talented whether its singing, sports, public speaking he has it all...and that doesn't even take into account how handsome he is and he's getting even more so as he gets older! Some lucky girl one day is going to have a wonderful guy!

  4. I was just thinking how for years God (and his dad) has been grooming Scotty to be in this awesome position in his life. His dad teaching him and Scotty developing a love for the games of golf and baseball is now paying off - getting to play in golf and baseball charity fundraisers (plus throwing out first pitches at ballgames) and he is GOOD at both. Like I always told my kids - God sees the whole picture of our life but only gives it to us - one puzzle piece at a time. That puzzle piece has to fit in place before the next one will fit. It seems like Scotty's puzzle is just filling up fast as all the pieces just seem to fall in place.

    1. Off topic, but I liked ur vision of how God operates in our life. And I do see the analogy. My problem is I want to see the full picture of my life on top of box.

    2. Beautiful analogy - thanks for sharing. I'm with 10:54 sometimes too - I want to see it all at once! YAY for Scotty, he's one special young man!!!

    3. WE THINK ALIKE!!!!!(10:37)

I was thinking the EXACT same thing about how Scotty has 2 skills besides singing that can be used in charity events. Suppose he was an avid water skier or a lacrosse player--you just don't see charity events or nationally televised singing opportunities(the World Series) with those 2 sports. Golf and baseball are just what Scotty needed! His family also has supported Operation Christmas Child for years and now Scotty is working with that organization! I was also thinking earlier about how Scotty's singing group in high school has prepared him to sing in "harmony" with a group--like his band does on Man of Constant Sorrows. I hope to hear more songs with his band doing some harmonizing with Scotty. (I love the Eagles song "Seven Bridges Road) Someday Scotty may do an entire album of hymns. Something else he has been singing all his life. I'd buy it!! God has prepared Scotty for this career in so many ways! I can't wait to see what else Scotty will do---maybe sing for our military troops someday? He has such a heart for our country and the men and women who protect us. By the way, Scotty has always liked NC State. So far he has thrown out the first pitch for them, sung the National Anthem for them and now played in the Jimmy V Classic. All of these aspects of his life are so intertwined and God knew all about it! I wonder what else we will be surprised with in the future?

  5. Well BIG HEARTED Scotty is generous again!! The V Foundation tweeted thanking Scotty for his generous auction items and they said "Loving the new wolfpacker" and then V Foundation tweeted that there was a bidding war for the Scotty Mccreery autographed guitar and concert tickets. Then someone else (not V Foundation!) and said they heard his guitar brought $6000. Someone knows the VALUE of that guitar "someday" in the future when Scotty is SO BIG!!

  6. Nice that he was asked to participate in the golf outing. Jim Valvano would have loved Scotty and his enthusiasm for sports. He was a basketball coach at several colleges, including NCSU. Being from N.Y. he was a Yankee fan and always hope to throw out the first pitch at one of their games, got invited but died shortly before.. Nice that he and his dad get to share and that they are willing to do so since they are busy as they are. They are good examples og being selfless. That tux....one good looking young man.Hope to watch it on t.v.

  7. I really like the analogy of God's plan for our life. One piece at a time. That is beautiful ! Scotty is the picture of elegance in a tux. He is so poised and yet so comfortable. I love to watch life unfold for this deserving family. I wish all families were this way. Scotty is very special with a capitol "S". If you watch closely with an open mind you can see GOD's guiding hand at work.

    1. Amen to that. That is exactly what I see in his life and all that we have learned about his upbringing. He has been crafted by the Master for this, and I believe Scotty knows this too, and is ready and willing to walk out the plan for his life, which by the way is going to be amazing. Keep the main thing the main thing, Scotty, and you will be A-OK. Love you so much!!!

    2. My cousin said that she had always told her children that life is like a Parade... You can only see the float in front of you at that exact time, but only God knows what is in the parade still coming down the street and around the curve, so you have to be patient and wait on God to see what the next float is going to be!

  9. You can tell when he speaks at these charitable events that Scotty has been taught about what is important in life and about giving back from young on. He was doing charitable things before Idol. Idol has just exposed him to the world. This is parenting done right...McCreery's have done a wonderful job w/both kids. Thanks to them for sharing and I'd like to thank Scotty's friends and the town og Garner for respecting his privacy. A lot of being would be trying to hone in on his new found fame or try to write or send pics of him in his personal doings and they don't do that. They are all to be commended.
