America fell in love with Scotty McCreery in 2011 when he appeared on Season Ten of American Idol, and in May of that year, was ultimately named the American Idol winner. Scotty immediately made a name for himself with his deep and undeniably country voice. Scotty has been touring with Brad Paisley, and was recently named New Artist of the Year at the 2012 ACM Awards.

ReplyDeleteI love to watch the videos of Scotty's surprise visit on stage with Tim McGraw. The crowd were so loud when Scotty first came out, it was hard to hard to hear him singing! Tim referred to Scotty as his buddy! That was neat! Also love he and Brad Paisley singing Celebrity at the Opry! His prank, of dressing up like Brad, was priceless! What a great tour he's on..that is when he's not doing his own sold-out concerts! Way to go, Scotty!
ReplyDeleteHaha. I'm watching the Tim McGraw/Scotty McCreery videos for the umpteenth time, right now. I like it, I love it and I want them to tour together and record a duet.
DeleteI Agree 4:34pm. When Scotty's done touring with Brad would love to see him tour with Tim McGraw.... with a duet thrown in!! Awesome!!!
DeleteOff Topic, but was so excited I just had to share: CAD moved up on Billboard this week from #29 last week to #22 this week!!!!! Looks like sales this week are 4,000 (last week was 3,000) Total CAD sales $1,083,000. Yea!!!!!
ReplyDeleteScotty, have a GREAT WEEKEND AND STAY SAFE!!! We McCreerians LOVE YOU!!!!
I know, Scotty got a notable mention in a 'Roughstock' article as well! Said how well CAD is doing despite very little radio play! That's all good to hear!! Those concerts he's doing must be bringing in new fans!!!Yipee!!!
DeleteThank you for the info - I love keeping up with how he's doing in sales and sold out shows!!! I'll be at the NJ show Saturday night cheering him on loud and clear!!! Go Scotty!!!
DeleteCT
Radio can ignore him as much as they want...it's not keeping our boy down. Sold out shows great album sales...they'll get on board sooner or later.
DeleteI tried to buy tickets for me and my friend to see Scotty at Lancaster. That was in May. It was already sold out at that time. I was put on the waiting list. Unfortunately, it didn't work. My only chance to see Scotty, a one hr. drive from my place and it didn't happen. Oh well, maybe someday I will be lucky.

Sorry to hear that! Scotty seems to be darting about, all over the USA, so he'll likely be back in your area, hopefully soon!
DeleteI hope Scotty's 'exciting news' about his album has something to do w/Brad Paisley!
ReplyDeleteIDK. Scotty´s tweet about exciting news was answering a question about his upcoming album.
DeleteI know!..I was just thinking Brad might duet w/Scotty on the album!
DeleteWonderful article about Scotty on lancasteronline.com!

Scotty was awesome last night at the concert in Lancaster Pa. He is so cute You can tell he is a very intelligent young man,the way he speaks, his actions,he is just adorable. He got a roaring standing ovation at the end of the show.WE loved every minute of it,I'am so sad that it is over I guess next move is to go to Hershey park concert.I just seen him last week -end with B.Paisley ,and the gang.At this rate I think i might end up in the poor hoUse,but I just love it.I loved when he did Letters from home and,The dance with his friend playing the guitar,he sounds so good singing with just the guitar. Also he is amazing doing That's a right Mamma ,and trouble, and at the end Gone I don't know how he does that with so much energy he is super fantastic doing that kind of songs.I really like his ballets but that kid is made to rock.I could see why he wants to put out that kind of an album. No one can hold a candle to him when he rocks it out not even Elvis himself. It was almost impossible to take a picture ,or video tape it ,we were right at the end,and my Kelly took one picture of him ,and the lady came over and told her no flashes aloud, then she came and told the lady in front of un no videos so that was the end of that.Great show He is the sweet kid in town.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your review. I´m glad to hear about Scotty ´s doing so great and you having such a good time
DeleteGuess this means there will be no videos or photos of last night's concert??

ReplyDeleteFANS LOVE SCOTTY MCCREERY'S DOWN-TO-EARTH TALENT
By DAVID O'CONNOR
Staff Writer
Jan Baderak of Ephrata was sitting off to the side of the American Music Theatre, a bemused smile on her face, as a huge swarm of people headed in Thursday night.
But she understood why the sellout crowd at the 1,600-seat theater was in such a hurry to see headliner Scotty McCreery.
McCreery is not just a great singer, but the teen also gives her hope for the future.
"You can just tell he was brought up right," she said. "It's reassuring to hear someone like him."
McCreery, whose "American Idol" victory in 2011 propelled him to fame, did not disappoint his fans at AMT Thursday night.
With a maturity beyond his years and a talented bass voice like no other, McCreery wowed his enthusiastic fans.
Wearing a T-shirt, blue jeans, boots and his trademark cross necklace, McCreery hit the ground running with the song "Walk in the Country," and roared through a 70-minute concert that was riveting from start to finish.
"He sounds like a great young man," said Carl Caruthers of Conestoga. "And when he sings, he sounds a young Alan Jackson."
While you'd expect a good-looking teen to draw 1,600 screaming girls, the crowd Thursday was a mix of families, teens and older adults.
McCreery's songs are about simple, small-town pleasures and strong values, as spelled out in "Water Tower Town," his newest single.
He did that one to a rousing ovation Thursday, as well as his hits "I Love You This Big" and "The Trouble With Girls."
Thursday's concert was just the latest show in a busy early summer for the 18-year-old McCreery.
He has been on the road opening for country megastar Brad Paisley, and is returning to this area for a concert — along with The Band Perry, and Paisley headlining — Oct. 6, at the Giant Center in Hershey.
McCreery recently graduated from high school in North Carolina, where, among other things, he pitched for the baseball team. He plans to begin classes at North Carolina State this fall.
He told Billboard magazine that performing is what he wants to do for the rest of his life.
"I Love You This Big" is from McCreery's full-length debut album, "Clear as Day," released last fall. It went platinum in January.
McCreery also has started working on what will be his second album, and is starting to write songs of his own, after his first CD was penned by others.
And when he comes back to AMT or a larger venue, you just know that many of the fans at Thursday's show will be back, cheering him on.

We were unable to get any, maybe up front if they were in the middle away from those who were in charge. We were sitting right next to were she was standing, and she was right on you if you tried, they also had screens saying it was not permitted,No flashes or videos. So I don't know if any one got any or not.Maybe.
