  3. These two songs are on the list of my Scotty favorites. He always sings them beautifully and yet he is getting better and better and in voice this rendition of The Dance tops them all IMO. And that picture with the soldier just melts my heart. Often I think words cannot really describe Scotty and neither the impact he has on so many people and they certainly cannot describe the love I feel for him.

  4. Me too! Really hope he has at least one song of his own on his next album that he does even better than the covers he does. He does everybody else's songs so much better than the legend artists do. Great Scotty!!!!!! Good Golly, Great Scotty (GGGS) ha ha ha ha ha all things happy with Scotty always!!!

  5. Scotty, through his choice of concerts and his words, has great admiration and respect for those who serve in the military. I think a patriotic song on his next album would be AWESOME. I love 'That Old King James' song on his album! Its one of my favorites.

  6. What a beautiful picture of Scotty and the Serviceman from the Navy, it brought a tear to my eye. Scotty is a special person and I am so thankful to all of our troops and to all of the people that love our boy.

Love Scotty singing anything...and I do believe that he sounds better on any cover song that he has ever done than the original artist.

  7. I think Scotty was fighting back the tears on the last verse of LFH. Remember how cute he was when he sang it on Idol? Now it was more poignant and those people talking so loud during this song should be ashamed of themselves. I felt bad for him.

  9. I really didn't think there was any better country singer than Garth Brooks and Josh Turner, but I was wrong. Scotty is the best of the three. I would love for Garth, coming out of retirement, to take Scotty on tour with him. Josh should come forth and at least offer to due a set with Randy Travis and Scotty. JMO - I listen to The Dance and LFH over and over. My most favorite was when Scotty sang them at Virginia Beach. OUTSTANDING!!! Just gotta love him !

    1. I agree on a couple of things. Garth Brooks was my favorite, but listening to Scotty sing 'the dance' especially his performance at Virgina Beach, he's got Garth beat, in my opinion. My favorite 'letters from home' performance was when he first sang the song on AI. His ability to interpret the song by his actions was ace, and I felt then he was a winner! And, yes, wouldn't that be spectacular to have Garth and Scotty on tour together!

    2. I agree also on a couple things. Scotty beats them all! Tho Josh sometimes ties him on voice right now, Scotty definitely outdoes him on charisma and performance!... My fave of THE DANCE was on The Opry! And my fave song now is Please Remember Me! He REALLY beats Tim on that!... I agree on LFH. That was when I picked him to win!...I KNEW he would win when he sang "Where were you when the world stopped turning"! As much as I love Alan Jackson, Scotty blew him out of the water on that one!

    3. 12:24am I agree that Scotty is definitely a better performer and has way more charisma then Josh Turner. Josh Turner is a good singer but I find him rather, I don't know for sure what it is, maybe stoic. I also agree that when Scotty sang Alan Jackson's song on AI, I thought too, it was outstanding, and better than Alan Jackson's original!

  11. You know I sometimes wonder, does Scotty really "blow them out of the water", the original artists, or are we just so crazy for this young man that we are THAT partial. No anwser needed. Just me, musing.....I prefer to believe that he is just that darn good!!!! Someone mentioned......completely off the subject......in another blog about Scotty lifting his shirt and showing some skin. I just thought it was unintentional, perhaps a little trickle of perspiration running down his tummy and without thinking he grabbed his shirt. I think that would be a normal reaction. Apparently some of the girls thought that was the highlight, but I really feel he didn't even realize what he did.

  12. The talent of this young man is truly developing each and every performance. There is stardust here that the public has not witnessed for a long time in show business.Scotty has something special that can only be explained as the holy spirit and does this country ever so need that. What a blessing to see him reaching these new levels of skill....appreciate your love and kindness and how you put what is right first.
