Thank you Karee for the heads up on this!!!

MCCREERY GETS TWO SHOWS AT 2012 STATE FAIR
By Brooke Cain

“American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery will play two shows at this year’s N.C. State Fair, and one of those October shows has already sold out.

That concert was first announced in December, and all 5,100 seats were immediately snatched up. The Garner native’s second show at Dorton Arena was announced Monday, along with the full concert line-up.

The 2012 concert schedule offers a mix of country and Christian music acts, with one R&B artist, Brian McKnight, the pop group Hot Chelle Rae, and a night devoted to a cappella groups from Duke, N.C. State and UNC-Chapel Hill.

McCreery won’t be the only North Carolina native on the roster. Jason Michael Carroll, a country singer who grew up in Youngsville, will also perform.

Michael W. Smith is a Christian music artist with more than 20 albums on his resume, and McKnight has 16 Grammy nominations to his credit.

Tickets range in price from $5 to $25 and go on sale 10 a.m. Aug. 1 at ncstatefair.org.

  1. Tarah posted an article about this on Monday when it was first announced ~ you 2 must've missed it.

    2. Yes, Tarah did post a similar article previous to this one - but that was a different article. What caught my eye in this article are the first two paragraphs because it shows how Scotty's concerts are "immediately SOLD OUT." The fact that tickets were sold out last December and that they just only now announced a second concert means that there are that many more people wanting tickets. Anyway....

    1. I think you're not the only one!..My family thinks I am silly over him!..And I'm not a teenager!
BTW, I wonder if Scotty would rather have been in DC w/Brad or in Utah?..And I just realized awhile ago that he was there with no family, I think for the first time!..Maybe that was why "Mama Judy" was crying in one of the Indian Ranch vids.. Her baby boy is growing up!

  5. In one of his tweets, Scotty's dad said that Scotty had done a few concerts without the family there and that he's in good company and can handle himself. Also, his mom tends to tear up whenever he sings DD or TOKJ or BOTG.
