  4. For some, when they listen to any of the songs on CAD for the first time, either they love it or they say it's just ok, not great. But the thing is, the more you listen to the songs, the more you start liking them - they grow on you and really hit home. Scotty's voice has that effect.

  5. Thanks for posting the video. I never get tired of listening to him sing. His voice always gives me a lift throughout the day.

  6. Happy 4th of July, McCreerians! I agree w/Karee about people listening to Scotty more and more and liking him. I didn't even think Scotty would win (I hate to admit it, though), but I picked him to win when it came down to him and Lauren Alaina. And now I'm obsessed with Scotty and all of his songs! Goodluck tonight, Scotty!!!

    1. I picked him the winner when he sang Letters From Home - Well, it's all good and now he's really being recognized as a country artist!

    2. they played a lil snippet of his audition in a preview before the show even started........thats when i called him the winner lol!!

    3. Karee, That was when I picked him too!. Never watched much of the auditions, and I don't remember if I saw Scotty's. Or just reruns of it. There were so many! I was SURE he would win when he sang "Where were you when the world stopped turning"!...I replayed it I can't remember how many times!... He did it even better than Alan Jackson!...All his "Covers" were and are better than the original!...Especially "Please Remember Me"! I hope one of his own songs makes it on his album!

  7. Happy 4th everyone!..Tweet from CMT said Scotty is among top 5 artists!...Looks like #2!...Couldn't find anything on the actual site, though. Anyone know what this means?

    1. Thanks for all the info, Karee! I can't use the links, but usually find the vids on youtube. About Scotty's "attire": He dresses up for special appearances. He sure looked handsome at the ACM awards! I knew he would soon lose the tie! And he still looked really good! He ALWAYS looks good! I can't believe someone would criticize his clothes. Some of the other stars look like bums!!!

  11. On another thread someone said that they thought that Scotty should be more dressed up than a tshirt. If you look at the other country artists he is well within "dress code".....for these outside venues during the extreme heat and humidity. Personally I think that he would be more comfortable in shorts. A tshirt, and flip flops! Actually he looks good in anything:-)

    1. I think the T-shirts are okay and others wear them. Besides, it's summer and hot! I guess it depends on one's chosen style/look. E.g., Tim McGraw is always in T-shirts. But I personally I like him in shirts; and I also don't like the shorts and flip flops on stage or at radio visits/interviews and at meet & greets - maybe shorts and loafers or sneakers. But anyway, that's his call. I'm not going to bother with his attire.

    2. ok people Scotty is 18 . he is young what he wears is completely normal for a teen. he dresses way better then most country singers .when its time to dress up he does but on stage at a concert its supposed to be comfortable and cool . i swear some of you fans would make him dress like an old fuddy dutty if it was up to some of you. he is young not 35 to 80 for gods sake . just because he has a deversed fan base doesnt meen he needs to be dressed like an old man . his young fans would think he was completely un cool.flip flops t shirts even ripped up jeans would look amazing on him .

  15. MCCREERY GETS TWO SHOWS AT 2012 STATE FAIR

    By Brooke Cain - bcain@newsobserver.com

“American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery will play two shows at this year’s N.C. State Fair, and one of those October shows has already sold out.

That concert was first announced in December, and all 5,100 seats were immediately snatched up. The Garner native’s second show at Dorton Arena was announced Monday, along with the full concert line-up.

The 2012 concert schedule offers a mix of country and Christian music acts, with one R&B artist, Brian McKnight, the pop group Hot Chelle Rae, and a night devoted to a cappella groups from Duke, N.C. State and UNC-Chapel Hill.

McCreery won’t be the only North Carolina native on the roster. Jason Michael Carroll, a country singer who grew up in Youngsville, will also perform.

Michael W. Smith is a Christian music artist with more than 20 albums on his resume, and McKnight has 16 Grammy nominations to his credit.

Tickets range in price from $5 to $25 and go on sale 10 a.m. Aug. 1 at ncstatefair.org.

  17. chill out 4:31. No one is wanting him to dress like an old man.Just heard alan jackson singing 'Where were you when the world stop turning' and I have to say scotty's performance on AI showed so much more emotion. Some criticized him saying he was too young to understahnd that feeling. I dare anyone to look at that performance and in his eyes and not be moved. He was incredible then and now.
