Tonight: Scotty to be featured on Noteworthy at the Opry

By Wendy Spicher
Fan favorites Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Kellie Pickler and Scotty McCreery are appropriately featured on this week’s Noteworthy at the OprySaturday, June 23 at 9 p.m./ET on Great American Country (GAC) as the episode will focus on fan loyalty, heartfelt fan stories and some of the stars’ favorite gifts they’ve received from their most loyal supporters.
“There’s not this line between the country artist and the fan,” says Brad Paisley. “They really feel like we are one with them and we really feel like we are one with them.” Performances include Carrie Underwood, (“Undo It,” and “Jesus Take the Wheel,”) Brad Paisley, (“Water” and “Celebrity” with Scotty McCreery), Rascal Flatts (“Banjo,” and “Bless the Broken Road,”) and Kellie Pickler, (“Best Days Of Your Life”).
“It feels odd saying ‘fans,’” says Kellie Pickler. “I’d rather just call them ‘friends’ because that’s what you become…it’s almost like family.”

  3. I am so happy they are showing this, I was going to check it out tonight in the hope that he would be one of the people they were going to showcase, so I am really happy about it. I'll be turning on the recorder.

    1. I am too worry about him too.I hope he is getting enough of rest in between Solo tour dates.this episode is from grand ole opry when it was on the radio,so what they did was they took it and put it on tv.that is what they did with the others, like the one where he sung the dance, water tower town.

    2. It was from the same night as The Dance and WTT, I listened to it live on the internet, they just didn't have enough space to put it on the T.V show a few weeks ago. I was so happy to see it. I was dissappointed when they didn't show it the first time but so grateful that they finally did and I started applauding when he did the opening monologue. I think they really like Scotty at the Opry.

I also worry about him, I noticed in a recent video, it looked like he had dark circles under his eyes, but I'm sure his Mom will make sure he gets enough sleep.

  7. Loved the hug Brad gave Scotty, I thibk they have formed a bound and hope other big artists see Scotty's worth or that Brad recommends him to others to take on the road. Radio people must wake up. I hope they see that Scotty's doing quite well even w/o them are ready to cut him some slack.

    1. I didn't see the hug!...Will watch again!...Scotty makes it a point to make friends w/all radio guys on his tours!...I think it is helping!...And his new fantastic video should help, too!...GS

    2. I bet that other big artists have already been talking to Brad, asking his opinion about Scotty. It sure looks like Brad really likes Scotty. I think it's great.
      Loved the hug too.

Scotty has been very gracious to the radio stations even though I'm sure he is well aware that they haven't been playing his songs very much, but he is being very smart about it. He keeps courting them and will win them all over or they will lose alot of listeners because his fans will stop supporting those stations.

  9. not sure if anyone will agree but I think Kelly Pickler was extremely pitchy when she sang on opry. wow she is not very good live. she was at country fest in Ohio and the reviews for her was terrible . Blake was good and Luke also .

  10. To the lady who was sad he only sang a little bit with B.Paisley, don;t be.That is the song that they use on brads concert tour. All kinds of pictures of Scotty come down on stage back round ,and then Scotty pops up,and the crowd goes wild. They love it,and during the song when he's not singing he runs across stage, swiping hands with the fans.IT'S one of the best parts of the show. Also he was to perform W.T.T. but since he does it in the first show they didn't want to repeat it.Brad&Carrie did different songs then the first show. They put Kellie Pickler on doing her song. Also remember this is the premier of w.t.t. all over the place, and it probably was a smart move other artist might have the message they were promoting him with his single. That celebrity duo is the best thing going on tour.Ij ust love it.

    1. I do too!!!...But STILL was disappointed in the Opry show last night!..Instead of all the talking, they could have had him sing "I Love You This Big"!...He sang that on his first Opry show!

  11. This NAO was the second half of Scotty, Brad, and Carry's original performance. The best showcase of Scotty's talent was his introducing the
program at the beginning. He was very poised and confident...as well as
professional. All McCreerians should be proud!
