SCOTTY MCCREERY GRADUATES, WINS CMT IN 24-HOUR SPAN

It was a quick turnaround for last year's American Idol Winner, Scotty McCreery, who took home his first CMT music award and high school diploma in the time it takes for an average teen to wake up on the weekends.
Mere hours after McCreery hit the stage to pick up his award for Breakthrough Video of the Year in Nashville, Tennessee for The Trouble with Girls last night, the country crooner accepted his diploma states away at North Carolina's Garner High School.
The high-achiever and his family reportedly caught a midnight flight back to North Carolina so he could attend the 8 a.m. ceremony.
does anyone think clear as day would be a good next single for Scotty?
ReplyDeleteI still think BTT or YMTLG -- Scotty needs a hit song - just like Band Perry "arrived" with their hit song If I Die Young. If radio would give more air play to ILYTB or TTWG (or even YMTLG or BTT) - these songs are potential hit song.
DeleteStill. his album CAD is really an impressive first album for a newcomer, that it went Platinum & continues to sell says a lot.

DeleteI just watched the show with Scotty,Brad ,and Carrie,and I loved the show.Scotty was awesome,I loved him singing the dance.,and water Tower Town.They were a nice combination to have on at the same time, one of the best shows I enjoyed it so much.

DeleteIt really was great!!...I watched several times, especially Scotty!!!...Can't ever get enough of hearing and watching him!!!... And I LOVE hearing the screams for him!!...One tiny disappointment--I thought they were going to show Scotty and Brad together (Celebrity) but they didn't. And there was too much talking about heartaches, not enough singing...But otherwise it was GREAT!...I recorded it so I can watch it again and again!!!

DeleteDoes anyone know if Scotty is to sing at LP Field in Nashville. That's where the biggies sing and LA sang there today. Disappointed if he didn't get in there. Is it his management? Or why?
ReplyDeleteI believe he's there tomorrow. And LA I believe performed on one of the small side stages if I'm not mistaken and Scotty's supposed to sing on the big main stage. But I could be wrong, but I thought that I read that somewhere.

ReplyDeleteIt is so nice that Scotty has been taking his friends along. Those guys must be having a great time. Saw a pic. with the four of the with CU. They must have liked that.
ReplyDeleteThey were all at the fan club party today as well. They are such loyal fans, by his side during the 2 plus hours of the meet and greet. Scotty looked exhausted today, but sitll met every single one of his 800 fans at the party and took a picture with each of them.
Delete'Out Of Summertime' is my very favorite upbeat song on CAD and I listen to it a lot. When Scotty sang it live for the first time at Lancaster, I especially loved that performance because the drumming stood out even more than on the album. WTT is a fun song, and I think, with another good video, it has lots of potential to climb the charts!!

ReplyDeleteLA was fielded in the last minute on main stage. Sotty is scheduled tomorrow june 10 sunday.

ReplyDeleteOn youtube they have the dance posted from the Opry last night.There are two different videos of the Song,actually the one with the least views sounds better..I go from the one at Virginia beach love them both.Man he looks so hand some at the OPRY,THIS KID IS SO DARN GOOD LOOKING I'CAN'T STAND IT.HE MELTS MY HEART.LOVE A LOT..............................

Hi ,2;17p.m. The video is there i'll try to tell you how to find it I really don't know much about links.It's simple enough.First i go to bing web search ,then I type in youtube Scotty McCreery the dance virginia beach,Va 6/3/12.Hit return a video will pop up with him at virginia beach.You want to go to the right it should be about the fifth one down.It's says Scotty McCreery the dance ,with no views.He has a different shirt on it's white but he has a collar on it,a button down shirt.

ReplyDeleteLove Scotty..wish even more fans were there for him..he's such a great country singer and wonderful person! Hope he's able to get some rest,though. Even an 18 year old needs refueling every now and then. Seems like Scotty and his management team(including his parents)have been steering his career just fine.ILYTB

ReplyDeleteScotty's water tower town according to an article from idol sale charts went down instead of up.Apparently Kelly Clarkson is on top she ahead of Underwood now.The article stated that they think it's done on country radio,and that it didn't make the top 40.It's a shame if this is true especially if he made a video it only got 350 spins something like that.He needs anew single,or he should have kept the single YMTLG I think he would have been better off.He worked so hard to get to the top It never really got out of the gate .I think way back when all the comments on Billy Dukes TOC putting him down over his review ofScotty's song might have had something to do with them boycotting that song,they all stick together like glue.I remember Lady A.review was not good ,but there was not one comment written.I myself thought the comments were pretty bad they were also about the country station being high ,and mighty I remember thinking this is not good there going to get pretty mad ,I know I would have been.Mr.D. I'M sure has a lot of friends on the radio stations .The best bet when a new song comes out ,and if the review isn't good it's better to say nothing at all.
ReplyDeleteIt just a gut feeling they gaveScotty a harder time than others because he came from idol,and then knocking down one of there own was the icing on the cake.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO --- WTT is NOT done at all. Instead it´s taking off now. On the Mediabase CHR chart WTT just moved from # 48 to # 46.
Deleteit really would not of mattered what song he came out with its that fact he won idol that's why they are not playing him. I bet they play LA new single considering Carrie U wrote it .radio is stupid. I have heard so many awfull songs just because the artist are already famous . think about it ILYTB and TTWG both create songs and they stopped playing them no matter how many request they got . his next album has to be amazing and no dought it will be then he will get the respect he deserves. I'm sick and tired.of country radio I won't even tune in.

ReplyDeleteNo of course I believe you. It´s just different ways to look at how the song is doing. Mediabase means radio play and there WTT has improved and that counts.

ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that he's getting played on the radio.let's go everyone and get him up there to N o1 on the charts.I sure wish they get his video out there it has to be ready by now It would help a lot if people can see him o the screen how could they resist how cute he is.
ReplyDeleteWell, the album went Platinum in just 3 months and is still in the Billboard Top 20 Country Albums Chart! Which means the album is still selling. ILYTB and TTWG both are Gold and without radio support. Scotty has won 3 major country awards AFTER winning AI10 and performs at SOLD-OUT concerts! Radio can play whoever they want, but I doubt they get the deafening nonstop screams that Scotty draws.
