Concert Watch: McCreery coming to Fresno July 19

“American Idol” Scotty McCreery is the next country singer coming to Fresno for radio station 93.7 KISS Country’s popular $5 concert series.

McCreery, who won the 10th season of “Idol” in 2011, will perform at Rotary Amphitheatre at Woodward Park on July 19. If the track record of the summer concert series is any indication, tickets will go quick. The June concert on Thursday sold out nearly two weeks in advance.

Tickets are on sale now for $5 and are available at the KISS Country studios, 1071 W. Shaw Ave., Boot Barn stores in Clovis and Tulare, Valley First Credit Union in Fresno and Madera and online at ksks.com. Besides McCreery, the concert will also include country vet Joe Nichols and up-and-comers The Lost Trailers and Jaida Dreyer. Since winning “Idol,” McCreery, 18, released his debut album, “Clear As Day,” which hit No. 1 and spawned the singles, “I Love You This Big” and “The Trouble with Girls.”
