This episode of Noteworthy at the Opry features heartache songs. Anguish, grief and despair caused by lost love is something everyone can relate to and country artists tell these stories better than anyone. Artists such as Lee Ann Womack, Montgomery Gentry, Jana Kramer, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley as well as actor Justin Deeley and pop singer Natasha Bedingfield talk about their favorite country heartache songs and share the ingredients that make a heartache song great. They also reveal their first heartbreak, contemplate what causes people to cheat and offer advice they’d give a friend recovering from a broken heart. Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and Scotty McCreery will perform some of their most recent and favorite heartache songs.
Noteworthy at the Opry is the next chapter in the Grand Ole Opry's celebrated television presence. This 16 episode series will feature musical performances and personal, inside stories from the top acts in country music coupled with interviews with artists from multiple musical genres and other celebrities about the artists and music featured in each episode.

ReplyDeleteSure is good to see Scotty is in the "top acts in country music" category !!! To be in the same segment with Carrie and Brad is a testament to our Scotty's place in the industry. Can not wait to see him in concert in Louisiana in October. Saw him in Feb. in Missouri. But..... At home will be better.

ReplyDeleteScotty will be performing at CMT.awards, and so will two other former idols Lauren, and Cassey james.I'm so happy for Scotty, also for the other two young artist.Country needs these young performers.I hope they let them all do a full song ,and not cut them off for a change it would be nice.I'm terrible they can cut some of the old timers ,and let the new artist shine, but we know that will never happen.Wishful thinking.
ReplyDelete"Most recent and favorite heartache songs?" I wonder what song Scotty will sing?
ReplyDeleteOn the "Opry Live" show he sang "The Dance" (Garth Brooks).
