It's the only good AI video of Scotty left!(Except for Water Tower Town which I've about worn out)...Also absolutely no words how much I love the Opry video of Scotty singing The Dance!!...Sure hope it will be on TV soon!!...GS
DeleteIf you listen really closely at the end of the video, when Scotty is crying a little and his family comes out to give him a hug(27:10), you can hear the sweet things that his mom and dad say to him. Judy says, "I'm so proud of you and God's so proud of you too!" Mike says, "You witnessed to a lot of people today. Awesome job son, awesome!"
ReplyDeleteScotty has a supportive, Christian family, an amazing voice, a sweet personality and a strong faith. The wonderful God that holds onto Scotty is going to carry him a long, long way. I am so happy that Scotty is allowing all of us to be a part of his journey.

DeleteStill a young boy, not yet a man. He is at a vulnerable stage of transition. Looking at this video brings out the mother in me, wanting to hold him tenderly. His tears are those of joy and wonderment. Scotty, you are a gift to many. You bring joy and put smiles on so many faces and feelings of ligthheartedness. Thanks guys for sharing this video. I have gone twice over it in the wee hours of night last night. Just beautiful..

Thank you so much for this post. I had not seen the whole hometown visit before. What an amazing young man! The people of Garner really do love Scotty. I am so thankful that he has been able to go back to high school there and have a good Senior Year. Congratulations Scotty!! You deserve all the recognition you are getting. God bless you, your family and all that you do this summer out on the road. ILYTB!!
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs to go to WRAL.com the local news for Garner and Raleigh to see the even longer version of this...It's like 2 hrs long and includes talking w/ fans his parade to the concert, etc. It's long but really good.
ReplyDeleteYes you are right Angela! Everybody needs to go to WRAL.com to watch the whole homecoming it is long and it is great. Their are also more videos of Scotty on their. Type in Scotty in the search box up top on the page. I watched the whole thing live the parade and the concert on tv. It was a great day. For north Carolina ,Raleigh and Garner. And that day will be a memorable day for everybody in NC
DeleteI have seen that whole video 3 times now and I cry every time at the end of the homecoming. I watched the whole thing Live. And watched it twice on YouTube. Garner and North Carolina is so proud of all of Scotty's accomplishments and achievements we all love you Scotty and we have your back. :). I am so proud to say that I live in North Carolina and that I am a hr in a half away from Scotty. I love my state and I love Scotty Mccreery

I was fortunate enough to watch the hometown visit live also. During the actual live telecast there were weather updates. Greg Fishel (WRAL Chief Meteorologist) had a radar map of central NC. He put the word "Scotty" on the map where it would normally say "Garner." The thunderstorms were in green, pink and yellow and they were moving. The storms were all around the "Scotty" area but the SUN WAS SHINING ON SCOTTY! It was AWESOME to see this!
ReplyDeleteIn the weather report just after the concert, Greg Fishel said "I think it's fair to say the Lord did smile on him(Scotty)today because there were thunderstorms all around-warnings-even within Wake County but nothing happened over where he was performing and of course everybody thankful for that." Then he showed the radar once more with all the pink and yellow thunderstorms and said "You see that little break there, right where it says "Scotty", couldn't have planned that any better if anyone had tried."
The SON truly is shining on Scotty and through Scotty!

DeleteMembers of Scotty's church, Garner First Baptist, were handing out little pamphlets (tracts) at the Hometown Concert. The tract told the story of Scotty's Christian journey. If you would like to see his story you can go to the Garner First Baptist Church website and type in "Scotty" in the search bar. His story is beautifully done with Scotty's testimony and pictures and music.

Disappointed in an article on WRAL where the columnist had some not so nice refernces to Scotty..that 'it is as clear as day you don't have to have talent' and a couple of other thins, in an article about Idol. Very disapponted they published that. Didn't see the video of Scotty's homecoming.

ReplyDeleteScotty is a real "American Idol". The title fits him very well. Nobody can really fit in the American Idol title this year no matter how much the contestants yell their voices out when they sing. Thank God for Scotty McCreery that I have his songs and listen to his sweet and beautiful voice that makes me happy whenever I am down. He gets me all the time especially when he hit that low voice at the end of some of his songs.

(does'nt)sp sorry. he just effortlessly opens his mouth and beautiful songs comes out. i always thought perry como had that kind of delivery. upps! showing my age. lol

DeleteI JUST LOVE WATCHING THIS VIDEO BECAUSE WHEN JOSH CAME OUT AND SCOTTY TURNED AROUND HE WAS SO SHOCKED AND I LAUGH SO HARD I SEE IT. IT IS SO AWESOME TO SEE THAT. THEN THERE WERE TEARS AT THE END, BUT HAPPY TEARS BECAUSE SCOTTY IS SO SPECIAL IN EVERY WAY.
ReplyDeleteI really miss Scotty this year on idol. I don't have any favorites . I don't think anyone will capture my heart as Scotty has . I'm seeing him in concert in PA for the 3rd time my first solo concert of Scotty I'm so excited . everyone I watch his hometown visit and he is in the car and he starts crying I cry with him and when he lifts his head and this little black girl about 2years old is in her moms arms and she is waving saying love you Scotty in the middle of tears he laughs of disbelief of such a young child so excited to see him I love that . Scotty and his mom crying in the parade so overwhelmed by the love of their town the Young girl running with her friends crying along side the yellow convertible sobbing uncontrollably and another girl running next to his limo holding a sign as the car pills away she starts crying and at the end of his concert his mother holds him as he crys . people may think that Scotty fans are nuts but I know we just simply fell in love with this remarkable young man that has made our world a brighter place and have given us hope that there are still wonderful young people left in this country. I don't know how I went day to day with out my Scotty fix . Thank you Scotty and your family you have a fan for life and a friend thanks for the tears and mostly the song . god bless you my prayers are with you . Ann from Ohio
