  1. Say- is Scotty everywhere? It´s difficult to follow all that he´s doing all the time. Wish I had half his energy (o well, he´s younger ..sigh)

  2. I also had a weekend spiritual Retreat in my senior year just prior to graduation, a school tradition for high school seniors graduating -- good times indeed -- We also had to have the Senior Prom and we did so "grudgingly" hahahaha -- made it all about the food! -- We were 2 sections/classrooms of seniors and the other section was into boys and parties, the prom, etc., and my section was into fun, mischief, sports, and parties without boys! hahahahaha --

  3. Scotty never slows down, and for someone to say he is a quitter, makes me very angry.Someone called him a american idol quitter, they say he's quitting his music career and goin to college, that's not true,he even said he would be doing both. Why do people want to start such terrible rumors

    1. That´s what was in the media and that what the media does once in a while. No big deal though! They are telling this nonsense about others too.

No reason to get upset. It won´t hurt him and most likely somebody will contact them to get it right. This is not terrible and it might even be a good thing. It makes people talk about Scotty and keep the interest in him going. It´s all good

    1. CAD has been a huge success and like I said elsewhere here, I don't think radio understands, that I would listen to the radio more, if I knew they'd play my favorite country artist's song WTT. It was like this for me, when they played ILYTB, and because they played it often, I got to know the other artists, while waiting to hear Scotty sing. WAKE UP RADIO!!

  7. Is it me or the camera? Looks like Scotty's gotten a bit taller and slimmer? He looks like he's lost some weight in recent pictures. Or maybe it's those baggy shirts? Definitely taller.

    2. I agree!! Isn't there enough media scrutiny, etc., trying to find his every fault without having to come to a website meant to build Scotty up and hear negativism here? I have to say that I hate the "Hahahahaha" comment made. This young man did a superior job and handled any little idiosyncrasies like a pro. I am usually a "take it on the cheek" kind of person, but I am so angry with 11:16 AM's post.

    3. For the record I have always recognized and appreciated Scotty's talent. But he is still an 18 year old "kid" and wants to be a kid to fit in with his hs friends -- and he is still very new in the music industry. He does not have a "career" yet. Also, he is not perfect and not a saint. He is presently distracted by all his he's activities. His set is really a short and simple one and he had weeks to prepare for this little concert. He's distracted or maybe just because it's a "home concert." If he can take this in stride, certainly I or anyone can laugh too. And it isn't laughing with malice, by the way.

I am an adult and a professional. I have worked in the ad industry, show biz, production, recording & modeling industry, and even politics. I know "spin" when I se it. I also know what it takes to be recognized as "professional." Scoty may not have the stage antics of rock or pop stars, but his "I'm still a kid" act sounds corny already. Criticism is good if it is constructive and helps one become better.

      Delete
    4. correction: "presently distracted by all his high school activities..."

      Delete
    5. wow I'm still a kid act is corney. I didn't like that comment at all . you baffle me sometimes . let me fill you in i've been to plenty of concerts and the artist all make mistakes all the time . he is a kid and 18 years old . these little mistakes he makes makes him more appealing to me. if everyone including his so called fans keep nit picking on everything he does I wouldn't be surprised if he had second thought about this whole music career. I love Scotty dearly and I don't want this whole negative thing beating this kid down. he is a kid in a mans world. like I used to tell my son when he played sports do your best and have fun that's all Scotty needs to do. I don't blame him for staying close to home his friends family and town love him unconditional. Scotty I will never judge you sweety. do your best and have fun and hold into your mom tight.

      Delete
    6. Karee I think your a fan! I agree criticism is good if its constructive and as you commented before, Scotty is almost balancing a double life, maturity on the road, and I'm just a kid at home, to fit in with his friends at school, who certainly haven't had the travel and interaction with people Scotty's had. I've got to say 9:44pm that comment to Scotty "to hold onto his mom tight" is insulting to Scotty at his age, with all that he's achieved and faced on his own. Mom or Dad didn't do it for him. Scotty in my mind is a very confident, mature and independent thinking, young man. Right now, his thoughts may be centered on school, the prom etc. but he's expressed, that his heart is with his singing career, and I don't think, he'll put it in the back seat for anything! He's the "New Artist of the Year" in country music. I think all of us fans are wanting to see WTT soar up the charts and its frustrating that its not happening as fast as we'd like! Hopefully, all it needs is time and a good video!

      Delete
    7. do you have children? he is only 18 . his parents have been with him the whole time . yes some of you fans might think of him as just an artist and for selfish reasons all you think about is how he needs a number 1 song . he is human and yes very mature but there is a fine line at 18 between a child and adult that's why he is staying close to home and I don't blame him look how people are acting . Josh Turner said it all he isn't envious of Scotty life because he is so busy . he has had something going everynight for a little over a year. so no I don't think my comment to Scotty was insulting at all . just understanding coming from a mom with a son. if you don't have a son then you wouldn't under stand.

    9. So 0558, if you don't have an 18 yr old son, just keep your opinion to yourself? Really? I had lots of 18 yr old friends who were in the middle of a combat zone, but I guess I just have to keep my mouth shut. OK.

      Delete
    10. yes and they shouldn't be in a combat zone .no 18 year old kid needs to be anywhere in a combat zone from this country or any other country for that matter. you are way off topic. this is about Scotty and some of his fans defending him from all the negativity we should leave that to the media they seem to be doing a good job at that. his fans need to support him and his decision HIS career to take it any direction he wants to.

      Delete
    11. Actually 0811, YOU are way off topic. Unless you were an 18 yr old in a combat zone, it is not for you to say whether they should be in a combat zone; at least according to 0558 who implies unless we have an 18 yr old child, we have no right to give our opinion about Scotty. That was my point. Eighteen year olds are adults and can make their own life decisions.

      Delete
    12. I just wrote the above. Please just delete. I am leaving this site; I am very uncomfortable on this list with the protectionism and almost worship of an 18 yr old young man. I like him a lot; but this list is really starting to creep me out.

  14. I disagree with you all. I think Karee is a fan of Scotty's. She is always sharing links of him and saying nice things as well. I think some folks need inhale deeply and relax. Scotty is doing great. Remember he is just 18 years old. He has many years ahead if we all remain faithful fans and don't start putting each other down. That is something I've never heard him do to anyone - even his critics!

  15. Ok ladies/gentlemen.... Let's stop this. This is going nowhere.
I know it is hard to ignore the negative comments because we all have a lot of emotional investment in our idol...but we have to control our emotions and let's move on. We have to be as united as can be to be able to support him all the way ( as we grow older ). It is not going to help each one of us in any way.
Just a reminder, this is exclusively a Scotty fansite. I hope that Donna, Hailey and Tarah will still be around to give us this venue to voice out our admiration and praises to Scotty.

Ok, there is another video by the same person...

  17. How many of us are here to enjoy the love and support shown to Scotty on this site! I would suggest ignoring any negative comments even though we want to protect Scotty and let Donna, Tara or Hailey handle it as they are administrators of the site. If anyone intends harm by their negative comments, we are only adding fuel to the fire by replying negatively. It makes it difficult to concentrate on the positives if we join in the negatives. Please, let's get back to enjoying this site for it's intended purpose. I will not be commenting any more on this subject. Thank You!

  18. Sounds like Karee spends too much time here! Can't figure if you're a fan or not. I don't think he sounds corny at all...it endears himself to true Scotty fans. This site isn't to laugh at or criticize him. We want to show our love. He has professionals helping him.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I have seen sooo many complaints everywhere about his "short" show. Has it occurred to anyone that the Azalea Festival MIGHT have set a time limit for Scotty to sing? He might not have had any control on the length of his show?? Just a thought

    ReplyDelete
  20. 9:01m Pretty critical. If he is distracted because he is doing too much, he will realize it in time or his management will call it to his attention. I personally hate seeing him put so much pressure on himself, but he'll figure that out, too. Agree with the above comment that he probably had a timeline on his performance.

  22. You don't have to type all that long stuff to find Scotty. All I do , go to you tube and McCreery/Paisleytour. Or type in Scotty Mccreery/ Fremont St. or /azaleafestival. That will lead you to more. I can never get those links with the long words to work.

  23. when I saw Scotty with brad he played 35 min he only got to sing maybe 8 songs .brad was on stage about an hour and a half. they have opening acts for them . when Scotty played in Lancaster California he played like 20 songs with no break . I would imagine with this concert he had limited time. I did feel Scotty was being rushed. but he did an amazing job.

  24. These are comments left on IDF by a lady who was actually there and experienced the whole thing. Nothing negative here. I sometimes think people scrutinize videos way too much and, yes, looks like time was limited with all these dignitaries preceding him. Please keep this site a fun place to visit. -

"There were a lot of dignitary introductions at the beginning, two difference queens courts from festival and their escorts. Then Miss NC, about four other beautiful young women, actress and cheerleader can't remember them all. There were some Military dignitaries.

Then finally about the time the tweets stopped, Scotty hit the stage a blazing.

My husband and I have followed him from the beginning of Idol and it is so much fun to watch him blossom into this incredible artist. Right in front of our eyes.

It was over much too fast, but because it was a solo concert we sure did not feel cheated in any way.

He sang every song with such passion and heart. You can feel his love for his audience.

He is getting more comfortable because he is adlibing a lot even in his songs, it is so endearing.

There's no way he should this mature at 18, but he is so professional on stage.

There was a barrier between him and audience where professional photographers and news were standing. The ushers were constantly sending girls back to their seats. But I tell you that Scotty is a girl magnet and the girls could not resists that magnet. They were just pulled up to the stage they couldn't stay away.

I read some of the reviews and they were right, all ages. As many men as women and the men were dancing and cheering just like the women.

I'm sure one of those comments about that "old woman in front of them was rocking out" was talking about me!
No charge for parking. Easy in and easy out. Couldn't have been more enjoyable. Can't wait till our next concert.

  29. I AM a fan and would love nothing more than to see Scotty McCreery make it as a huge country music artist -- I guess my comments are just coming from years of working with aspiring and struggling talents -- I also have this "bad habit" of marking pages with my red pen whenever I read books now, after working as a proofreader for a publishing house -- Will stop doing all this --

This site is by far the best Scotty fan site in terms of content and I come here a lot because I really am excited to follow his budding career especially since it is in country music, which to me is really exciting considering that Nashville has been missing this real, pure country sound for a long time now -- I think it is really great that Scotty's affinity and preference for traditional country music is bringing attention to the genre itself and to all the real country artists out there who have been sort of overshadowed by the pop/rock/Hollywood culture --

My comments are not meant to offend him or his family or any of the fans who come to this site, and I do apologize and will refrain from making any more comments on this site --

    1. I must defend Karee's right to express her feelings! I know she loves Scotty but also knows that he isn't perfect! Nor does he think so!...I agree with someone who said Scotty and his family are probably more bothered by the total Scotty worship (which I have been guilty of!) than by some of the less than perfect comments!...
Scotty is WONDERFUL and so WISE beyond his years, thanks to his parents and his faith!... He can handle the fame and all the ups and downs that come with it!!!... Gramma S

    2. Gramma S . . . No one has said that Karee does not have a right to express her her feelings, so you do not have to defend anything . . . Karee volunteered on her own volition to refrain from posting . . . Furthur, loving Scotty is not Scotty worship and does not imply that Scotty is perfect, so please do not misinterpret . . . Again, I thank Karee for her consideration . . . and now we need to move on . . .

    3. I too defend Karee and her right to express her feelings! I hope she'll continue to give her opinion, because if all comments are flowery, then its not helping Scotty recognize areas that he may need to improve. I was a little hurt that, on this recent concert, he referred to NC as his most supportive fans (or something like that)! Ugh! with 121 million votes Scotty, I think its safe to believe, you have supportive fans all over, and every place you go has its positives.

      Delete
    4. 11:08 am . . . Geez . . . Scotty makes a positive statement to loving fans in his most powerful fanbase--his home state--and that deserves a negative comment? . . . And you are suggesting that Scotty's positive comment about his NC fans implies less than positive feelings about fans outside of NC? . . . Let's not jump to false conclusions . . . This negative, irrational commentary is not a contribution.

  41. Here is another post on IDF by the same lady who attended the concert and I brought forward her reflections @ 11:53 pm
Some posters replied that it made them tear up and did not know why.

"Something Scotty said at the concert last night relates to a little of what we as fans feel, he said so much has happened and is happening in my life that I don't hardly remember what I did yesterday.

I know when we got to meet him at the "meet and greet" that I won from QDR at the Idol tour in Raleigh and then we went with the local group to Knoxville and Scotty and his family met us at the door of the hotel as we got off the bus, my thoughts were he looks so young and very innocent and small, although he is getting taller.

He must look at us, his adoring fans and think "they are really real live people" just like we look at him in person he seems, not someone famous, but someone special. So...So polite, holds his attention right on who's in front of him at the moment. even tho there may be 200 people in line.

I have to say I felt a little sorry for him. It was overwhelming no matter how you look at it, for thousands of people wanting to get close to you.

Just like he said when he was on Idol, he saw us through a lens, well many people only get to see him through a lens. A picture, TV or video. Thank goodness for this instant modern technology.

I would have to agree that what we see on screen is exactly who he is off screen. Sweet, polite and not completely comfortable with being the center of attention."

  44. Don't want to add much more to this post other than to say to all followers here - please, please let's stay positive. Positive towards each other, to Scotty and his family, about the new single WTT and radio airplay. Nothing is really gained by being negative.

  46. After reading through so many posts on here I understand that we all love Scotty and his family. We're very protective of him because he's only 18 yrs. old and this is all so new for him. Scotty's family and friends are wonderful and so supportive and we know the world out there is not always so kind. He's so innocent, honest, humble and respectful with integrity and has a good work ethic. But then that's why so many people like him and are amazed by his maturity. Oh and by the way did I mention he really, really can sing! :) I pray for Scotty daily that he can "stay in his boots" as he's said and "stay grounded". I pray for his family who have taken on this huge challenge in their lives for the sake of their son. Don't you all think it's just amazing that so many love Scotty and his family and have such great respect for him! He deserves every positive thing that's been happening to him since AI. You hang in there Scotty, and we'll be right by your side supporting you all the way! Love to you and your family Scotty from your McCreerian family!
