Pictures from the Garner Trojan baseball game

These pictures were posted on newsobserver.com Also, you can see in the last 2 pictures that Scotty is holding his throat. I am assuming this is right after he was hit with the ball. I wanted to post Judy & Ashley's tweets from last night - so everyone knows that Scotty is just fine. Judy Cooke McCreery ‏ @JudyMacGarner @ScottyMcCreery is a-okay! Just came in the dugout...bottom of 5th...Garner winning 2-1 but East Wake is good! Ashley McCreery ‏ @ashleymccreery2 He's totally fine:) He got popped in the throat but he's a-okay! Upstairs sleeping now:)

  3. Scotty, its comforting to hear from your Mom and Ashley quote your'A-okay' and 'totally fine' after getting hit in the throat with a ball! Gee Whiz!! that's scary, but thankfully not serious. These pictures of you pitching are great. Sure takes a lot of concentration to be a pitcher!

  4. AWESOME PICTURES! IT IS WONDERFUL THAT SCOTTY'S MOM AND YOUR SISTER ASHLEY MADE SURE TO LET US KNOW THAT SCOTTY IS A-OKAY.

I LOOKED AT THE THE GARNER'S WEBSITE TO SEE IF SCOTTY WAS NOMINATED FOR KING FOR THE PROM TOMORROW NIGHT BUT HE WASN'T NOMINATED SO THAT'S SAD. I DID SEE GABI WAS NOMINATED FOR QUEEN. I THOUGHT THAT WAS PRETTY COOL.

  5. I think its great he wasn't nominated . he would want some else to be king he just wants to be a regular guy . Scotty is the best and so are the kids from school he has had such a great year in front of the lime light so I think he wants to let others shine .

    2. When I first learned about the accident, I must admit I was also concerned about damage to the vocal cords. Hopefully he'll have it checked out just to make sure that everything is just as it should be.

  10. I just want to be reassured again. Scotty didn't damage that beautiful voice. I cried when I heard about it.I had thought about him getting hurt and hoping that he could play the rest of the season. No body has said how he did the 5 innings that he pitched.

    1. I am still worried. Has any of his family commented on any side effects that Scotty is having? Did he go to the doctor? Can he talk and sing normally? Just don't want one freak occurrence to ruin Scotty's dream of singing country music for a long time. Someone, please let me know. I have anxiety disorder, and my nerves are kicking in BIG TIME!

    2. So do I. My heart misses a few beats and I have heart problem. I nearly froze thinking of the outcome. God really took good care of him.

    3. 10:55 PM, I will pray for your heart problem, and I am so sorry that you got so frightened over Scotty's injury. Will you please pray for my anxiety disorder? It is keeping me from almost leaving my house, and I am scared to drive. God is so good, I must remember that every occurrence in Scotty's life is all part of God's master plan for him. What would I do without my faith, and knowing that Scotty loves his Lord and Savior as well?

  11. I was so worried when I heard about Scotty being hit in the chin or neck. Never forget watching one of my son's game when the pitcher was hit by a line drive in the jaw (which it fractured)... and that wasn't even high school! Danger of the game I suppose. Just so thankful God was protecting Scotty last night :-)

  12. To 10:55 and 11:18: I know this is all about Scotty...But when I read someone having a heart problem and one with anxiety disorder--one who professes to be a Christian can simply whisper a prayer for you both! I did. I'm one of the "insane fans" of Scotty --My kids think I need intervention! I pray for Scotty everyday like many, many of us here on this site. God is in control. All we can do is put our trust in Him annd let Him do the rest. He has big plans for Scotty...We are so blessed to be a part of that journey. Let us continue to pray that Scotty will be completely healed from the hit and that it will not have side effects at the present and the future. God is faithful!

  14. All of us love Scotty. Don't you think it is better for him to just stop playing for his team for awhile and concentrate on his singing career. Maybe the Almighty God just show him that playing is not too good for his career. I hope and pray that everything will be really OK and there will be no damage in the future. We love him and his music, I hope he will think more than a hundred times which is the best for him to concentrate because his wealth is his voice. Mr. and Mrs. McCreery, please convince Scotty to just concentrate on his chosen career and just use his God gifted voice for a good future. We will keep on praying for him and your whole family. We love you all. God Bless....

    1. He graduates June 7. He doesn't have that many games left to play and he doesn't play in all of them...this is something he loves, I don't see the problem, it was a freak accident. I mean anything can happen to anyone in a given day, this was an accident and he's fine...God was watching out for him.

    2. no way . Scotty needs to play ball he loves it . he is fine my son played his whole life he is 23 and still plays and pitches . it was a freak thing.

    3. I agree it was a freak accident but the consequence to freak accidents can be long lasting. Hoping all is well now and in the future. I think that he will continue to play. My niece loves softball but made a decision to stop playing after a freak accident. She just didn't want to get hit again. I'll support Scottywhatever decsion he makes just like I supported my niece with her decision.
