NC native Scotty McCreery plays to sold-out crowd at Trask Coliseum

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Native of Garner, North Carolina with a bass voice that melts teen girls across the country, Scotty McCreery performed to a sold-out crowd at Trask Coliseum.

Scotty sang his first single "I Love You This Big" and several other hits from his debut album, clear as day.
We caught up with Scotty before he took the big stage.

“I've been on the road now for a while and I did the American Idol tour and I’m on tour with Brad Paisley right now and the Band Perry,” McCreery said. “We're getting to go to a lot of cool places and see some nice things and stuff but there's nothing like coming home to North Carolina in front of the home state and seeing the fans."

Scotty started singing at the young age of three. He says he hopes he can continue singing for the rest of his life.

  3. I have to say I want another video or sigle on the TOP 2o on GAC orCMT. I hate not seeing him up there. It used to be everytime I turned either Scotty was on. Now it's LA. Have to say KUDOS for Hunter Hayes and being No.1. He works hard too like our Scotty.

  4. This is a time for Scotty's fans not to give up. He's not! He wants to continue singing,so our job is not to just sit here perhaps complaining about this and that. Scotty fans do well with challenges, so now we have one. Radio play for WTT. Suggest we take time daily to politely request WTT from the Mediabase list provided by this great site.

  5. Scotty has achieved unbelievable success this past year and his album CAD has sold like crazy! WTT is at 760 on I-tunes now and CAD is at 323. There's already been a slide video of WTT but another one like with TTWG would give it more exposure. Too bad radio doesn't understand, I'd listen a whole lot more to the radio if I knew Scotty's WTT was going to be played. That's how it was for me when ILYTB was on radio, because they played it often, I got to know all the other artists and their songs waiting to hear Scotty sing. Wake up radio!!
