  12. I don't care if he records the phone book...I'll buy it! Hope it's either a Christmas album, or something gospel. He would do so well with either of those. This kid is just such a sweetheart, and with a voice like no other. God has truly blessed him, and us through him.

  13. Many fans on other sites think they decided for Scotty to record the Idol exit song (also known as The Boot Song)they always do every season with an Idol alum....The press release from GACTV are going to be running a program beginning March 19 on the three finalists that would include "exclusive performances" by the nominees. We're thinking that's what he's doing. You can hear the boot song here. Copy and paste...the song starts at about 4:10 on the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WdAZuvddUs&feature=player_embedded#

  15. Grandma Nancy you are priceless. I totally agree about the phone book. Also I do need something else to play in my car. My grandchildren ask me when is Scotty going to record something else.

I think we are asking alot of this young man. Hope his voice holds out. Hope he finds more Bible based old country songs though T_R_O_U_B_L_E was fun. Hope he always keeps that youthful enthusiasm that I first saw with American Honey.

  18. Maybe it's YMTLG (seems to be the favorite of his fans to record next) I know it is mine. Might be That's All Right or anything EP (hope so) He is REALLY a smash when he does the rockers. Love everything he does also. Grandma Jo

  19. On an interview on the radio today, Scotty, apparently, said he was recording a Boot song, probably for AI. I haven't heard the interview.

  20. Anony 5:03. He has already recorded YMTLG; it's on his CD. Many of us think that will be the next single he releases.

  21. d1dragon - Why did you give us the site of JD's elimination from AI?
No boot song on that one.

    1. I read on another site that the song that starts playing right after scotty is announced as the 3rd contestant to make it through and as they start recapping James Durbin's performances through his idol stay is the "boot song"...it's don't forget about me....by what i was reading that is the song that was used as the elimination song..so i don't really now anything else. so i could be wrong, but that's what they posted and it sounded like they knew for sure.

    2. you can check on youtube and look up all the eliminations episodes and that's the same song they played each time someone was eliminated...for james, for Pia, for Paul, and Lusk...etc

  24. to Gramma S. @11:10 PM - oh, ok, thanks - i don't remember a "boot song" everytime someone was eliminated ??? - will review last season's elimination episodes for an idea - wonder what song it will be this season? - LOL - i don't really watch ai and scotty year was the exception :) - scotty sure "saved" ai in the ratings/viewership, so i think the producers will love keeping him around this season :) i can't think of any other ai winner or contestant who constantly tweets about the show either....

  25. David Cook performs 'Don't You (Forget About Me)' on the first night of American Idol's season 10 finale...that was his "boot song" and they would play it everytime someone was eliminated. We don't know what Scotty's will be, but it'll be great i'm sure!! ;-) Just go to youtube and type in David Cook Don't You Forget About Me 5/24/11 and you'll hear it, or type in: FULL [Idol Shocking Moment] James Durbin's elimination (Season 10)and you'll hear it on or about 4:10 and forward.
