One Year Ago Today We Met Scotty McCreery Happy ONE Year Anniversary.

And what a year it has been for American Idol winner Scotty McCreery who is currently on tour as the opening act for Brad Paisley, and The Band Perry.  This last year has been amazing for the North Carolina Garner native who's audition episode aired one year ago today.  Many fans have taken to twitter to wish Scotty a "Happy Anniversary" and even wish the "McCreerians" themselves one.

Scotty's year has been jam packed since he tried out for American Idol and quickly became a fan favorite on the show, never once landing in the bottom 2 or 3.  He's had 2 hit songs, sang on the Opry, performed with  Josh Turner, Brad Paisley, and Tim McGraw.  His album debuted at number one across all genres, and has since gone platinum.  He's been nominated for ACM Best New Artist, and recently won the ACA's fan voted "New Artist of the Year Award."

Scotty turned 18 in October, but even though he's an adult still makes sure "Momma" is on the road with him.  He's in the process of finishing up his Sr. year in high school, while filing out college applications, and planing on pitching for the Garner Trojans Baseball team this spring.

Additionally, it's just been announced Scotty will play himself on the new television show "The Hart Of Dixie". Scotty will appear as himself, singing his hit song "The Trouble With Girls."  The show is set to air this April on the CW.

We're very proud of you Scotty! And the fans would like to congratulate you on an amazing year.!

Here are just a few videos from the past year.

  1. He is special - so very genuine! I am so impressed with the way he handles the fame (pros and cons) with such grace - a true southern gentleman.

I'm so glad he auditioned for American Idol. God blessed him with an amazing voice and it needs to be heard. Keep shining your light Scotty!

  2. Yes it was one year ago when for the first time after watching American Idol for 9 years there was Scotty McCreery. My Idea of a real American Idol someone from a small town with down to earth look and with real values. Yes I was turned on by Scotty voice but it was the interview that it was so real. That same day for the first time I began to use Twitter and Face book. Also it was the first time for me to vote for anyone on American Idol. At the time I would not have thought that Scotty would be the star of Country Music as he is today. I have 3 sons and was surprised to hear them all feel the same. I know for me Scotty has given me so much joy and it is impossible to put into words my feeling about Scotty and is family. VOTE VOTE FOR SCOTTY

  3. This "Homecoming Video" of Scotty is by far the best of all the American Idols so far! His arrival in the limo with Elvis singing 'Hunka Hunka Burning Love' what an impact, especially when Scotty sings Elvis songs so well!!

  4. Jeez, how many times can we look at these videos....the performances still give me cold chills....had to skip the hometown video as I didn't feel up to a total go-to-pieces which happens ever time I watch it...so much love for Scotty...looking over at Scotty's tweet about being at laundromat in Idaho...can u imagine being a totally addicted Scotty fan and walking in there to do ur laundry?....I'd never hate doing laundry again.

  6. I have yet to get tired of watching anything Scotty. I go back to watching all of his videos, depending on my mood and I just love to see Scotty grow into the Super Star that he is becoming...I noticed in the last radio interview, the lady DJ said that people at the station were so hyped for his visit that the atmosphere was as if Taylor Swift was arriving instead. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels the joy. If I'm in need of a smile or a little joy, I just watch a Scotty video or put on his CD and..that does the trick.

  20. That homecoming video always gets me. It was so touching and genuine. It is a true blessing for us to meet Scotty and his wonderful family. Liked MAC said, I got into Twitter, YouTube, Fan Club all because of Scotty. People don't understand how special Scotty is. He is not just a singer or artist. He is a complete package with a kind heart, a rare humbleness & sincerity who also happens to have a beautiful voice that melts one's heart.

  22. Thank you so much for posting this Opry video. I hadn't seen it before. Such animation on check yes or no....better than on the Idol stage. I'm going to watch it again.......and again!! Scotty has kept my spirits high during this year of turmoil and I thank him for that. Mr. and Mrs. McCreery have done a fine job, raising this wonderful Country Gentleman. They should be awarded the "Parents of the Year"......if there is such an award.

  23. Scotty, I just have to say that I've never been as taken with any other singer as I am with you. And to think that I wasn't even going to watch AI last year until my husband told me that a young guy from Garner was going to be on it. I watched your audition and was instantly hooked, and couldn't wait for AI each week. I listen to you all the time and never get tired of your music, and am continuously trying to find new information on you each day. You are such a wonderful young man with an amazing voice, and I will always support you. You always put a smile on my face and I love you for the precious young man that you are and for your faith in the Lord!
