Scotty McCreery Tuesday tidbits

• Before Scotty McCreery heads to the Dominican Republic for a mission trip next week, he'll spend Christmas weekend in North Carolina, splitting time between the houses of his grandmothers. "There's nothing really crazy we do," he tells Taste of Country. "The last couple years my mom made cinnamon buns for breakfast and that was nice. We eat really healthy over here!"

Scotty McCreery That Nashville Sound's Top 100 Songs Of 2011

Dirty Dishes was #89!!

2011 was a fabulous year of country music. Traditional country, bluegrass, modern country and Americana were all represented well and this list proves that out.

Here are the rules by which this list was selected. It had to be released off an album that was released in 2011 or is an already-released single off a to-be-released album. If the album came out in 2010 or before, it couldn’t be included- even if it wasn't released as a single until 2011.

I only posted a little bit of the article you can click on the link below to read the whole list.

Scotty McCreery 'Clear as Day' Album

If you haven't snagged a copy of Scotty McCreery's album yet, well… what are you waiting for? Christmas is the perfect time to fall in love with a new country artist, and despite his young age, the 'American Idol' winner is as country as they come. Plus, if you order this special stocking stuffer straight from McCreery's site, you'll get a free poster on top of the CD! (Stick that under the Christmas tree.) That's as good of a reason as any, but if you need more incentive, trust us when we say you'll want to be able to say you knew this guys' hits from 'way back when.'
