Scotty's choir teacher at Garner Magnet tweeted this picture of her car saying, "For the scotty fans.... Check out my license tag #McCreerians :)" Back in May at the Idol Finale, Mrs. Meredith Clayton was invited personally by Scotty as a thank you for all her hard work being his teacher. He, along with Ford and American Idol gave her a new Ford Focus. As a thank you back, this is her license tag. How awesome!

To kick off the 2011 Taste of Country Awards — the first of what will become an annual fan-voted digital set of awards — we present the Best New Artist nominees, one of 10 categories that will be announced throughout the week. Scotty McCreery: The 18-year-old from Garner, N.C. continues to show up on the biggest stages, including Game 1 of the 2011 World Series and the CMA Awards in November 2011. His album ‘Clear as Day’ has gone gold for over 500K copies sold, and he’ll soon have his second Top 20 single. It’s been a promising start to the ‘American Idol’ winner’s career.
