Scotty McCreery’s Already Writing New Songs for Next Album

Scotty McCreery released ‘Clear as Day’ just two weeks ago, but he’s already looking forward to his sophomore project. In a recent interview, the singer says he’s hoping to write a number of songs to be considered for his next album.

“We’re going to give this album a few months before we start getting the songs picked for the next one,” McCreery tells HitFix, “but I want to keep writing about life experiences and relatable things to people.”

One song that’s near completion is for his high school football team. The 18-year-old says he and a friend wrote something for the Garner Trojans before he left for ‘American Idol.’ “Getting a song together for that because playoffs are coming up. We want to give them something to pump them up. Hopefully, one of my songs can make the album next time.”

It’s unlikely fans will get new music from the ‘The Trouble With Girls’ singer soon. One figures McCreery will release at least one, maybe two more songs to the radio before he moves on to a new project. He’ll want to have plenty for audiences on the Brad Paisley tour to be familiar with when the pair hit the road next summer.

I had to disable comments in two threads. A lot of you will know why, and some may not. For me personally, I will never ever understand why a video with Lauren in it, when Scotty and her were invited to a function that sponsors American Idol could stir such drama.  As many will know this is not my first post about how upsetting to me comments like that are.  Here is the deal, this is a Scotty site, we work very hard here to keep things updated.  If every now and again, Scotty appears with Lauren at something, and there's video of the two of them together, talking or doing a Q&A it's going to get posted. This happens very little, and if you don't appreciate that it's here, then ignore that post and DON'T COMMENT. If you didn't comment about her, nothing would begin.  THERE WOULD BE NO DRAMA! I was told last time there was a heated discussion on here that by disallowing comments I was silencing Scotty fans. I disagreed with that, and made the point that I don't want the drama, it just gets out of control. This time I was away, and didn't see all the comments. I WOULD HAVE ENDED IT DAYS AGO. If you don't like that every once in a blue moon there will be a post that contains Scotty and Lauren due to an appearance together, then there is a little X at the top right of this site. You CAN CLICK IT, or YOU CAN ... ARE YOU READY .. WAIT FOR IT... IGNORE IT... WHOA! What a concept! 

I love the fans, I love this site, I love the passion you all have for Scotty, but I DON'T LOVE HATE.  And Love Don't Hate.
