Scotty McCreery turns 18 years old today. To say it's been a big year for the high school senior would be an understatement of enormous proportions. Imagine that just 12 months ago he was sitting at home in Garner, N.C. hoping he could make it out of the Hollywood rounds on 'American Idol,' and this month he'll be singing the National Anthem at the World Series.
McCreery celebrated his birthday with a few thousand fans, friends and family during a concert/album release party in Raleigh, N.C. yesterday. Always the generous soul, he made sure 11 different charities had 100 tickets each to the show. It was his way of giving back after a year in which his hometown has been so supportive of him. Happy birthday, Scotty!

Happy birthday Scotty!

TODAY is Scotty's 18th birthday!

On Twitter, he said he's spending it in his 'Water Tower Town', where it's nice to get his feet 'Back on the Ground'. And I'm sure a few glasses of Sweet Tea and some plates of fried chicken will be included!

If you haven't make sure to sign his birthday card up top. And also make sure to wish him a happy birthday on Twitter if you have an account. At around 11 PST last night 'Happy Birthday Scotty' was trending WORLDWIDE! In Scotty's own words.... "absolutely insaneee".

Happy 18th birthday Scotty!
