The biggest surprise for the 17-year-old is that people like him. “I didn’t know how they’d take me because I’m country and I’m on ‘American Idol’ and that was a question mark for a long time. But I really appreciate all the support,” he said.

He also really appreciates that Simon Cowell is no longer at the judges’ table. “I don’t think Simon likes country music so I don’t know how he’d like me,” he said. “Back in the day when I was younger I wondered what Simon would say to me but I’ll never know.”

His middle name is Cooke

I love that he answered fans on twitter last night, to shush the rumors that his middle name was "John" , so his middle name is Cooke.. I have some questions about this! Is this Cooke as in the Soda, is the Cooke as in I don't Cook much, Is this Cooke as in I would like a Cookie (ty and please, preferably Double Chocolate Chip)  is this Cooke as in "Your a Cooc" .. Am I the only one not knowing how to exactly pronounce this???????? Either way.. I LOVE IT! It's unique and interesting and has made us crack up this AM with all the different ways were pronouncing it  EX: Scotty Cookie :)  Scotty the Cooc McCreery and so on!! LOLZ ♥

Welcome to FansOfScotty!! We are currently working on a website, but in the meantime we'll be here!! We're big fans... I went from AI watcher to Internet stalker in 2 weeks, to creating a website and blog.. I guess you can say I got it bad!! haha!! I'm so excited for this week, and TO BE HONEST NERVOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What has this boy done to me?!!?!?! I'm a wreck, you'd think I had to go up and sing on idol.. Which wouldn't go very well, since I can't carry a tune if it weighed an ounce.. Thankfully, y'all won't have to listen to me!! I used Y'all... But let me make it clear, I'M FROM NJ! hahah!! I've always liked country music though, but i never say y'all .... I say cawfee!!  That sounds normal to me.  I will update this blog frequently with news, pics, videos and anything else that is Scotty related! Scotty tweeted a pic of him with some Sweet Tea that was made for him. Is it normal that I was happy somebody made this boy some tea??
