Taste of Country: This Week's Best Tweets

By: Cristin Maher

When country singers get together on tour, there are bound to be some silly shenanigans backstage. When these country singers happen to be brothers, you can expect pure insanity. Kicking off this week's best tweets are Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley and his prankster brother Josh Kelley. The Kelley brothers were on tour together, and on the last night of Josh Kelley's stint on Lady A's tour, the guys got together with their band and crew members in some crazy bathrobes for a photo opp. They look hilarious! Also appearing in this week's Twitter roundup are Scotty McCreery, who channeled his inner dog on a car ride home, Martina McBride and Wynonna Judd, who were celebrating their kids' birthdays, and Alan Jackson, who congratulated his friend George Jones for his lifetime achievement Grammy recognition. See what your favorite country stars were chirping about this past week!

  2. People, this voting once a day on TOC is wrong...we have until the 30th to vote repeatedly for Scotty, not paying attention to the "...we have counted your vote" trick as,if the limit is on your IT address, you cannot submit another and this is not the case! VOTE Hard all WEEK!!

  3. As long as our votes are not penalizing Scotty's, so I go to it again. Thanks. I so wish him to win.

  4. Guess Scotty, family and friends will be flying out tomorrow to the Dominican Republic for OCC. Just want to wish them all a safe trip and know they will be blessed by the smiles on all the children's faces when they receive their Christmas Boxes. What a wonderful cause!
Hope there will be someone taking pictures to share with all of us fans when they get back! We are so proud of our young Christian man and his family.
Wishing you all a safe and Happy New Year!

  8. re: 10:07 I found it at: USA Today "Which idol album is the best for 2011"

  9. Yup, i think people are being misled with 'your voes are already counted'. I believe you can vote as many times as possible. Please go to Taste of Country and vote for Scotty on 'Best cover performance of Your Man' Blake is almost overtaking him, just a difference of 1%. It would be a waste to lose out at the end after leading all the way. We have until end of December to vote. So go and vote as many times as possible, my friends. Luv u all!

  10. Went to USA Today to vote again (voted once already yesterday) and I guess the poll is either closed or it only allows one vote per cpu. All I could get was the results screen??? Not too convinced that all these polls are that important, but sure do hate to see our boy lose out on any of them. I feel that SALES provide the best evidence of success, and Scotty sure has proven himself a winner there!!!

  11. I am not all that concerned with that USA Today poll -- Scotty is moving on and away from AI and into the country music world.

  12. I wouldn't worry about the USA Today poll. USA Today is a rag and no one should be upset about this poll, it's not like they have ever been in Scotty's corner......their loss. His sales say it all,he has gone leaps and bounds away from Idol. Love Scotty, his career is just going to continue to skyrocket.

  13. Everyone remember to continue voting on GAC Top 20...even though the new programing does not begin until Jan. 13, 2012, GAC tells us to continue voting every day. Scotty has been #1 on this chart for 5 consecutive weeks and sure would be great if he opened at #1 on the first 2012 program!!! Let's make if happen!!!!

  14. Vote now at USA Today for best music of 2011. Scotty is behind Durbin and Cook. Type "Which
idol released the best album of 2011" without the quotation marks into the search enjine. Scotty needs all of his fans (young and old) to vote.

  15. Scotty is 0.32% on BEST COVER PERFORMANCE in TOC. Let's all get his lead back. Vote as many times at TOC. Let's go!!!!!
